Died in a Lucid Dream just after Becoming Lucid

So basically was sitting on the beach, looked up into the sky at the stars. All of a sudden i see a UFO in the sky that moves and resembles a snake. I immediately look at my hand to test reality and was shocked and scared to realize I was in a dream because it felt insanely real when i gained lucidity. I knew what was coming next. The UFO blew up and everyone started screaming. I felt the shock waves and heard the screams of the people as i was scared sh!tless. I woke up right after and was still amazed and startled. Now Ive died over 5 times in nonlucid dreams before. All of them were super vivid dreams. 4 of them involved death by UFO explosion and 1 by drowning. Anyone else die in their dreams ?

During a dream that was turning into a bit of a nightmare (in the situation I'd been framed for something, not sure what, and the police were outside and I knew there was no way I could prove my innocence), I became lucid and wanted to change the dreamscape. I noticed a gun I decided to shoot myself to see what it would feel like to die, or to at least die within a dream....so I did, it was a shotgun and I shot myself in the head. There was no real sensation of pain or anything, just my body started tingling from the head and that moved to take over my whole body. I started rising upwards through stars, or at least a dark background with bright lights. Still lucid although not controlling the dreamscape I ended up in a room with an elderly lady and I was quizzing her on the meaning of life etc... She was responding in riddles, it seemed to make sense at the time and I KNEW I was going to wake up knowing something profound....alas upon awakening I had forgotten a lot of what was said and what I did recall made no sense to me anyway.

I have tried dying in dreams plenty of times, even in lucids where I'm fighting someone. Usually I get stabbed or shot, and after I die, I either wake up, or get respawned in the same dream, like the whole scene restarts.

You can try this: plan out what you want to do the next time it happens. For example, tell yourself that next time you dream about a UFO, you will make it disappear, or something along those lines. Repeat your goal many times, especially before bed. That could help you successfully remember to carry it out once you go lucid. I know it worked for me, hopefully it does for you too
