Exclamation Dream Recall is killing me, Can't tell what was dream and what was not

      Hello..
I'm lately getting a weird problem. I have many RL and Dream memories and they're starting to mix together. I have had way too many times when I mix dream with RL (for example - I thought - "I should finish repairing my car", but when I went to my car - I realized, I don't have a car It's harder and harder to tell what was a dream and what happened in RL. I also had some awkward conversations, where I ask friends something about what happened in dream (I thought it happened ir RL) and so on.. The problem is - I don't remember dreams when I wake up, I remember them in daytime, when I do something. Now I'm really not sure what have happened in RL and what in dream. If I don't fix this, I'll be in mental hospital after 10 years.

      Help..please?

Take a break from Lucid Dreaming techniques and leave your Dream Journal away for a while..and if it's really bothering you, go to a therapist!

Before you act on a memory, make sure you can remember where it fit into your day. For example try to think about what you did before and after you started repairing your car, if it is something that happened in real life you should be able to remember what time it happened, at least generally. If you can't remember when it happened, or if you can't fit it in with the other things you did that day, then you should assume that it happened in a dream, unless something suggests otherwise.

If you really can't identify what is real and what is a dream, and if it's causing you significant distress, you might want to follow Dreamcatcher's advice and see a therapist.
