I'm just wondering if anyone shares my experience with SP.

Occasionally when I take naps in the afternoon I will shift between a lucid dream state and SP. I have never had a frightening SP experience, however. It is usually frustrating, because I know it is happening but there is nothing I can do but wait to wake up. Sometimes, I'll have visual hallucinations that warp my room into dreamy images, if my eyes are open.

Mosy recently I was trying hard to wake myself up out of the state, because my husband would be home soon. I heard his car drive up, he come inside, and then felt him climb into bed with me. (To my frustration, because I wanted him to wake me up) This all ended up being a hallucination, when he really came home.

I wonder if understanding SP a little, and not panicking when I am unable to move helps me avoid the nightmarish experiences that seem to be common. Since dreaming is essentially imagination, and you are still having a dream experience to some degree during SP, staying calm must be part of it. I mentioned that last anecdote, because I'm sure it was me expecting my hundband to return is what prompted the hallucination.

Does anyone else have mundane or even pleasant SP experiences? Why is it that I can find almost nothing on SP that doesn't use the frightening imagery as being a characteristic instead of just a possibility?
