Lingering pain

Do any of you ever have dreams of places, things evens, that you have moved on or it's in the past and, feels as tho it scares you...Like I have dreams about this club I used to go to. And, I have a bad feeling when I wake up or, I'll dream of Nashville where I used to live and it gives me that same eerie feeling. Like it's hard to describe. Like something haunting about it...It doesn't mean that anything bad happened there.....it's just this strange feeling. And...it's hard to explain!

Yes. Because dreams connect to our innermost emotional states with imagery and realistic sensations they have a power to create strong, lingering feelings within us, even long after we wake up. It's not abnormal...merely unpleasant. With lucid dreaming you can spend time evaluating those feelings and dreams while awake and then change the outcome or situation in future dreams so you end up with a sense of "wow" instead of a feeling of woe. Also, I'm moving this thread to general dream discussion.
