This man has visited my other half since childhood.

So, this may seem like a horror story but it's extremely real. My husband has been dreaming of this terrifying creature since he was a child. He literally hasn't had s dream without this creature in it. He describes it as looking almost exactly like the creature in Insidious. My husband is 21 and he's had this dream since he was 7 or 8. The creatures looks never change but the location does. He's always being followed by it in his dreams. Each dream, the creature gets closer. I want to help him but don't know how. Everything he goes to sleep, he instantly starts moving and jerking like he's struggling. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Does he know how to have a lucid dream? I would say that the best thing for him to do would be to confront the issue, learn about it, etc. . . .

Yeah beat the shit out of that thing
No but seriously having a lucid dream in which he confronts it (doesn't have to be a fight lol) would probably make it stop, or at least make your husband have a little bit of control over it.
      Until then I suggest autosuggestion
