Need help with Wake Induced Lucid Dream

WILD is when you wake up 4-6 hours after sleeping and go back to sleep while trying to stay conscious at the same time.

People say that a way they try to stay conscious is by focusing on the blackness behind their eyelids and then once the mind starts to sleep they'll see fractals and eventually a dream landscape will form.

I've tried doing this so many times but failed. Whenever I try focusing on the blackness, I always keep myself too alert and I don't fall asleep. It makes me keep myself up actually.

Are there any tips I can get on how to do this method more successfully?

Also, for anybody who has done this alot, how much time does it take to go from the blackness to seeing fractals and images?

      thanks

There is more to WILD* than what you describe, Kimura. You might want to read DV's WILD tutorial, Mzzkc's comprehensive WILD guide, or, if you have some time, you could take my DVA WILD Class. They might help.

      * WILD actually stands for Wake Initiated Lucid Dream, by the way. WILD is not an induction technic, but the name given to the type of transition to lucidity (wake to sleep to dream without losing waking-life self-awareness) it represents.
