That's exactly how I am and I wish I knew also, I just couldn't put it into words lol :s but it usually happens when your just laying there relaxed right? It must be hypnagogia because I personally don't know what else it would be. |

So, when I lie down for a while and let my mind wander, I usually end up having conversations with myself in my head. They don't really make any sense, just my mind wandering around, random phrases and thoughts, etc. However, after a while, I realize I can actually hear these thoughts, like they are being spoken by someone. Most of the time, I become a lot more focused, and it stops, but if I just relax again, it starts again. |

Lucid dreams make your dreams come true!!
Same, I'm just confused about the lack of imagery. However, it could just be that it is an early stage of hypnagogia. I'm gonna see what I can do tonight, and see what (if any) kinds of thoughts I can remember. Will update in the morning! |

Wait... what
So I've done some research and do you have anxiety or ocd or anything like that? I do and that could be one cause. |

Nothing like that, no. Once I suspected I was insane, but I was just young and stupid |

Wait... what
You tend to reach hypnagogia faster when you're tired. |

Don't you dare defy me!
Note: I'm big on grammar, you won't see one error coming out of me!
Lol I can't get over your signature, yeah I think it is hypnagogia. |

Hypnagogia does not have to have visual imagery as well. In my experience, the majority of my hypnagogic hallucinations are auditory, as you described, but only very rarely will I 'see' anything as well. |
