I Had This Really Weird Dream and I Need Help Understanding

So I know that a thread like this has been made before multiple times however I still don't really understand a dream I had last night I had a dream that I was in love with a girl that I have never met in real life before and I'm not even sure exists however I feel like they do exist which is what really confuses me. It felt so real and has left me really confused because this is the first time this has ever happened. The dream just consisted of us being in love with each other and just walking around my town. But it has left me confused because I know I have never met this girl before but whenever I try and remember her face its just a blur. I know this usually happens and we forget fragments of our dreams, especially the important parts. This is my first time on this site including this morning and in case anyone tries to mention lucid dreaming I have no clue what that is. I just heard of it from the other thread similar to this so please try and refrain from referring to the subject. But yeah I'm just completely confused because this has never happened and it felt so real. Can someone please explain this to me in simpler terms?

Age and what was felt between you two matters a lot in dreams. The strange feelings like devouring or absorbing are the most telling. It doesn't matter if they make sense or not. (The less they readily make sense, the more likely the dream is a "message".) Also if there were any peculiar surroundings that demanded your attention. And it you felt secure, or were fearing or fretting a loss.
