      A sense of dread upon remembering DCs

      I'm very new to discussing my dreams with people, but I've hit the point where Google can no longer assist me with my question...

      A few nights ago I had a dream; not a-typical, as I usually dream each night and can remember them relatively well half the time. Occasionally, I'd say maybe once or twice a year however, I awake and remember a specific character from my dream and experience an overwhelming sense of dread. It's a hard sensation to describe, but a sinking feeling forms in my stomach from any thoughts about the individual-and it's a different person each time.

      The earliest point I can remember this happening at was around age 10, and the feeling always lasts for several days until memories of the dream eventually take a back seat to memories of the waking world.

      I was curious to know if anyone else has ever experienced such, or anyone else's thoughts on the matter. It happens whether lucid or not, though I'm not an avid lucid dreamer. To be clear, it's upon thinking about the particular character in the dream, not the dream or dream scene itself.

      Cheers and thanks. (:

      Hi,
      Well my answer is it depends on your frame of reference. Here's why...

      So who is the character in a dream? Some would say it's a representation of a portion of your sub-conscious. Others would say it could be an archetype. My view is quite different because my frame of reference is different. Here's what I've learnt a person could be in my dreams:
      * themselves
      * a symbol of my feminine or masculine
      * an aspect of myself
      * a guide
      * an other life
      * my over soul
      * a teacher
      * someone I've incarnated with many times
      * probable me's

      What I've learnt from my dreams and meditations is that we live in a virtual reality. Further, I have thousands of what I call "other lives" who exist at "the same time" I do. Further, we live in this complex multiverse.

      Now you may be sitting there wondering if Guy is sane, how could thousands of his other lives exist at the same time and how does he know who's who in a dream scene?

      There is a growing new area of physics called Digital Physics. A growing number of physicists have a theory that we live in a virtual reality. If you go to my website, [link removed by gab, pls do not repost] and go to the resources page, you'll find a section on digital physics with links to webpages and youtubes.

      There's also links there to a man, Tom Campbell, a nuclear physicist who's had many, many out of body experiences. He wanted to reconcile his science with his experiences, so he wrote a trilogy called "my Big TOE" where 'TOE' stands for 'Theory of Everything'. In it he lays out two hypothesis.

      One is that there is a universal consciousness he calls "All That Is". The second is that it must evolve by lowering its entropy. Entropy is a scientific term for measurement of degree of randomness. He then goes on to lay out we live in a virtual reality and discussed different times in the realities.

      This fits in with my own experiences. In the 1906's an entity named Seth channeled through a medium, Jane Roberts, and wrote many books. He was one of the modern day frontrunners in talking about different realities.

      Then there's a man called Robert Monroe, who pioneered modern day out of body experiences and formed the Monroe Institute. He wrote three ground breaking books in the 1970's-80s about out of body experiences and different vibratory levels.

      So, maybe I'm not crazy.

      The other lives I have, and other do too, can all easily exist at "the same time" if we live in a virtual reality. It's just computing power to produce realities at different times.

      So how do I determine what I call "who's who in a dream zoo?" I use my higher self or over soul or whatever one wants to call it to assist me. This is obtainable via meditation. When I learnt to use this to interpret my dreams, the dream gates swung wide open. When it comes to dreams, I feel like a little toddler sort of learning to bump around trying to figure out their new reality.

      So back to you post. We are the producers, director, scriptwriter and main actor for our dreams. They are all about us and our many, many other lives. if you read interpretations I've done on this board and other dream interpretation sites, for free, you'll soon see what I'v learnt from my dreams.

      I write the interpretations such that a person who is intrigued with the interpretation can then begin to take the material and learn to apply it to their own dreams.

      We live thousands of lives to learn about compassion or lack thereof. The times we have dreams where there is a sense of dread or enjoyment or terror or love all come from deep within us. I've found there is constant communication between myself and my other lives.

      So it all comes down to a person's frame of reference. There are many ways of approaching dreams. Many people simply dismiss them. Others recall and literally interpret and/or try to see what their near future is going to be. Still others use a Jungian approach with ideas about the subconscious and archetypes. My view is quite different.

      So who's right and wrong? All of them are right and wrong. Since we literally create our own reality by our choices each moment to moment, a person's beliefs create their view of reality. The fact that some people are learning to listen to themselves is a good sign. The means they use is the means they use.

      On my website is a story I created to explain the multiverse we live in, a dream discussion paper. a meditation page, rich resources page and sample dream interpretations. I hope that some of what I've said here resonates within you.

      With kind regards,
      Guy

      That's interesting. I've never experienced that feeling towards a dream character (I have towards a dream, but that's different). Is the feeling of dread the exact same feeling every time? Are the people realistic looking or do they look off or strange? Do they look like someone you know in real life? Have these incidences connected to any real-life stress?

      For the purposes of self interpretation you would need to narrow down what exactly the source of your dread is, there are wildly different possibilities depending on your answer.

      Are you saying these characters did nothing particular in the dream that should inspire dread? Do you never feel anything negative towards the characters while in the dream, only when looking back after waking? Do these characters have any common characteristics? Are they all male, or all of the same race, or all have the same tone of voice? Do they appear in similar situations or in response to any of your emotions?

      Can you attribute more descriptive words to your feeling? Is it colored by fear or by sadness or vulnerability? Do these characters remind you of any real world acquaintances?

      Once or twice a year, you must experience an overwhelming sense of dread, a sinking feeling, about either you or a different person each time, that lasts for several days.
      Due to such a disappointment in life, the first being at age 10.
