Strange question about dreams and facial muscles

I had a strange question that I have been trying to figure out for a while by myself but it won't work without another person.

If you lick your lips in a dream does it also happen in real life? since facial muscles for the most part are not paralyzed.

Intuitively, I don't think this would normally be possible, but I'm not sure.

I think it would be possible to experiment this by ourselves. If we were able to lick intentionally our lips in real life during a dream, then we would able to intentionally stick our real tongue out from our mouths in any direction during a dream. We can lick something about half an inch to an inch away from the center of our lips.

So, I think we can experiment whether or not we can intentionally lick our real lips during a dream by falling asleep while holding some sugar, salt, or other finely ground food about half an inch from the center of our lips and during the dream, attempt to stick out our tongue towards the food. If the we wake up and find the food on our tongue or on our lips, then that could be evidence that our tongue went out of our mouths during the dream.

It's interesting though, but I was asking to see if it was already done. That was similar to what I had in mind but I am was trying to create a new form of reality check by applying a strong and long lasting lip balm with an unusual flavor before I sleep and if I accidentally or purposely make contact between my tongue and lips and taste it, I'm assuming it has a high probability of inducing lucidity. I wanted to find out first if anyone has came up with this before first though.

You normally don't move during REM sleep, a normal stage of sleep that occurs many times during the night. About 20 percent of your sleep is spent in REM sleep, the usual time for dreaming, which occurs primarily during the second half of the night. If you are someone who's known to have parasomnias of some kind then maybe. However, I'm not saying that you can't do it because there is a lot of things we don't know about the human brain.
