Well if there would be a ''member of the Month'' honor award for making Informative and very helpfull posts and Topics on these boards, I think that when it were to be given to members by Responsible people like the Mods here, it could actually serve to Stimulate people to be more serious and post more usefull and Ludic-Dreaming Commited Post and Topics round here.

And a ''Spamaward'' for those who make this forum kind of a mess with nothing but useless comments and topics.

Stuff like this: radedadeda crap on a Stick. Lameness is fun and harmless, provided it doesn't litter interresting topics of great quality. I wouldn't wanna see this forum become too fascist with too strict regulations

But a little Bullshit-management wouldn't hurt no.

Yeah, I checked his post history. His last 50 posts didn't contain more than 6-7 words.

Anyways, so somebody (agree who on beforehand, it's useless if we all do it) PM a (couple of) mod(s) explaining them the idea, so they could make it a bit more official and decide on a jury.

This ain't no realiity TV. Not the public should vote. They'd only use it to vote against people they don't like. The Mods, responsible folks should do that.

Unfortunately, I can name a handful of members right off the top of my head that would qualify for this award.

But I'm afraid "honoring" them for it would only encourage them.

I believe there was something like that attempted a long time ago. I dont remember how it went tho... There definitely was the "biggest postwhore" award and I think someone actually got it... Let's see if the search would turn anything up.

This idea has been brought up several times but it's too late at night for me to go digging for the posts. I don't remember how much of a reality the idea was, but I'm kind of on the fence with this. I'm just curious how effective honoring a member would be. I try to occasionally complement users that I see doing a good job via PM.

Seems complicated BUT could be simplified because there is a list of the top 10 people that post the most often. SO i would suggest looking through a good portion of their posts and looking at the quality and judging them like that¬!

But the people on the top 10 posters list are most likely the biggest spamwhores. Even if they contribute to the forum sometimes, there are people not on the top 10 list that contribute more to real discussion on the forum. It wouldn't be fair not to include everyone.
