That's not entirely true. It is possible to sleep, but your dreams are really weird. I've fallen asleep once, but I had to force myself since it was 7am. I don't suggest trying it. I know one person who did and he was never the same again. That could be because of the incredibly large amount that was in his system (a vial he had in his pocket leaked on accident) plus the fact he was tripping for an entire week until he passed out...still tripping. I don't know what happened, but I know he wasn't all there after that.

Correction: it keeps most people WIDE awake. Freaks like me can actually go and have a nap anytime while under the influence of one, two, or hell even sometimes three hits of the most-excellent lsd. Been there, done that. My Wife could never believe it when I'd go & have a snooze. I honestly can't even remember any dreams I may or may not have had, for sure I can remember that nothing unusual happened. I CAN however remember that at the time everyone I was dropping with said something or other to the effect that "your dreams will be fuktup!" but that never happened. Seems to me that acid is just an extreme "amplifier" (if you get my drift) and good dreams would be gooder and bad dreams would be badder. I can easily imagine that if you happened upon a nightmare while on acid it could be pretty freakin' scary, it'd be like X1000 or something.

Agreed the vast majority is unable to sleep while on Acid if you can manage that though you are....different...

I had a dream where it was Acid Raining if that counts :p

Well, I've never been able to go to sleep on it, but my brother was able to go to sleep about three hours into his trip on about 9 hits. He also reported feeling relaxed, not speeded up or anxious.

Ok, you can can sort of fall asleep, but I don't think it's a true sleep. And it's more of a physical rest than mental.

More like a very deep relaxation. Could be something like a deep meditation.

Timothy Leary studied this back in his LSD heyday at Harvard and found that a low dose of the chemical will dramatically enhance the vividness of REM (via serotonin boost) while shortening the length of the REM session. He achieved this by waiting for REM-5 to begin and then giving the dose by intravenous injection, whereas giving the dose at sleep onset would have likely prevented REM (& sleep!) altogether.

rofl how do u slepp on acid... ive literally tried it a million times. i cant get over the heart racing and forgetting where i am or even who i am sometimes when closing my eyes for 5 minutes. its like trying to go to sleep on coke or xtc plus trippin... i believe you either werent asleep and thought you were, it was shitty acid, or you're lying....

edit... or u were coming down from the trip, like 5-6 hours after ingestion. at least that long.

I couldn't imagine sleeping on acid. It either gets me too paranoid to close my eyes or too excited and giddy to sit down.

Actually quit recently i tried this and trust me there is no sleeping on it...and trying to hard to sleep on it actually can cause a bad trip, but i have good control over myself on psychedelics and came over this quickly
