Have you ever done something in a dream AND real life at the same time?

Sometimes things like this happen to me.

For instance, I remember years ago, I was having a dream, and I was talking in my dream. From then I remember trying to talk in my dream, but it came out in real life and I woke up immediately.

Same thing happened to me a few months ago, except I giggled.

Yeh this has happened many times to me because i used to have a lot of caffeine before bed (chocolate and coffee) which led to me acting out my dreams. I recall once i was spitting in a dream and i woke up spitting on my pillow, i have woke up talking many times, i have woke up in pain (swollen knuckles, face etc) because i acted out a fighting dream, and i have also p****d myself because i was p*****g in my dream, among other things.

I always wondered why i would act out my dreams and i come across a site accidentily that said that caffeine allows you to act out your dreams so i don't take caffeine before bed anymore.

Haha didn't know caffiene could do that!!

Oh, I got another story. I remember my cousin (was about 5 at the time) had to share a bed with me () because he and his sister were staying over.

I remember dreaming about Ross from friends biting someone, and I woke up with my cousin crying.

I BIT HIM ON THE HEAD

This happens to me every now and again too. most recently being yesterday. I was sleeping, and dreaming very lightly, someone in this dream asked me something, and I asnwered it outloud and woke myself up.

similar to when youre having a dream right after falling a sleep, and in this dream you slip, or fall down stairs of whatever, and you jolt in bed and wake up.
I love when that happens. such a reliefe. happened to me last night. dreamed i was about ot get into a car when I slipped on some ice, jolted hard in bed, waking me up. i laughed and went back to sleep.

Haha, yeh that's cool. Usually happens to me when I'm just falling asleep, picturing riding a skateboard or something and suddenly lose balance, I wake up trying to move suddenly. These can be called Myoclonic Jerks, basically your heart and breathing rate slow down rapidly and your brain interprets this as dying so it sends electrical impulses to your major body muscles making them 'jerk' and this increases your heart rate. But yes, it is hilarious when this happens, I can't stop giggling at the strangeness of the human brain.

Oh yeh, and one time, this isn't really acting out the dream, but making the pain real kinda.
I was in a dream where my street had become a war zone. A helicopter flying overhead had dropped acid on a few of us and soon after I woke up whacking my head on the wooden rail across the side of my bed. It hurt like hell but I couldn't stop laughing.

When I was younger I used to cry out for my mum within the dream storyline sometimes, and it would quite often come out in eal life, and i would hope she hadent heard.

I did quite a lot of interesting things in my sleep when I was around 8-11 and used to sleep over at my best friend's place (or when she slept at my place). One "episode" I remember well was when I was dreaming that I was outside my house, and the big lawn outside it had turned into a large pool. A DC (I was lucid dreaming) claimed that I couldn't swim. I couldn't swim in real life, but because I was lucid dreaming, I said "Yes, I can, just watch!" So I went into the pool, swam around a little, and laughed. In real life, I sat up on the mattress I was sleeping on, and my friend was awake watching. I had said out loud: "Yes, I can, just watch!" and done swimming movements with my arms, and then laughed. I woke up shortly after, and she told me what I had done. I remember both this and the dream very well.

I also peed on the toilet lid in my sleep when I visited her once, but that's another story...

One time i dreamt a demon was hiding in my house, i went to look over the sofa when i felt a hand grab onto my ankle, i woke up with a coat hanger wrapped around my foot
Our dreams are firsthand creations, rather than residues of waking life. We have the capacity for infinite creativity.

The only times I can think of were the time I rolled to my side while in bed in a dream and did so IRL (I sleep on my stomach and wake up that way, so strange). The other time I dreamt I fell off the bed, and when I awoke I was in pain on the floor beside it.

Oh that reminds me one time I was in this room and a guy with a gun was trying to beat me up. I got on the floor and started rolling away from him
One final roll when he was about to stomp me. I got ready with all my energy and ROLL!!!! I woke up and it was too late to stop coz I was rolling so fast off my bed and whacked me head into the shelves next to me and hit my funny bone on the corner of the bottom one. There is nothing funny about the funny bone! But you can't help laughing at the stupidity of it all.

I was on a school trip and shared a hotel bed with a friend. I am used to sleeping with a cat and kept petting my bed mate in my sleep. She woke me up a million times, "You're petting me again!"

In my last lucid dream my lips suddenly felt like they were stuck and what I was actually feeling was SP and what happens when you close your mouth for a long time. When I finally managed to open them in the dream I opened them IRL and woke up

Everything makes sense once you stop thinking about it

      Several instances for me!

I was having a weird dream, and I woke myself up by saying "There are kookoos in the rafters!" No clue why I said that...

Another time I was in the car sleeping, and I felt like I was falling, so I jerked awake and hit the door really hard. My brother thought I was crazy, and my parents were freaked b/c they thought they'd hit something.

Yet another time, we were at a hotel in Charelston, and I had to share a bed with my brother. I dreamed he said "Your teeth are turning out to be a nightmare!" And I pushed him off the dock. I instantly awoke to him saying "OW!" And I realized that I'd punched him in the back! I apologized and explained what happened, then went back to sleep.

Lastly, I was in a restraunt, and this guy showed everyone some things that had velcroe on the back of them. He told us to match them up with the correct answer. (There was a thing up on the wall that had answers on it) It was my turn, and I got one of the cards and tried to put it up, but it didn't have velcroe on it. I slapped it really hard, and woke up. I had actually slapped the wall in real life.

I do things on both my dreams and in real life quite often. Like if I haven't slept in a while, I find myself saying the dialogue of my dreams outloud. I am ussually disoriented when it happens and I rarely remember anything that I say but it does happen.
