Thread: Death Dreams

It was interesting to read what happenned to you after you died. I dreamed I was eaten by a monster once. I felt my bones crunch in its mouth and then I was lying on the ground. I looked like "Beetle Bailey" after Sarge had beaten him up lying there. That was the end of the dream though.

I've had some nasty nightmares, but I always wake up before I die.

This was a pretty ... scary dream. I know I had nightmares like that but, I don't remember all the details. I don't remember at all. I guesse most of the time I wake up. I've been already bitten by animals and all that but I always wake up.

One time after I had a death dream (I forget which), I woke up but I was just barely conscious and I couldn't move much, and I was completely covered by my covers. It was completely dark and I thought I was dead.

"In the olden days" I'd wake up just before I died. But now it's as if Im invulnerable, when I'm shot, pierced by spikes or drowned - I don't die. Actually, I don't feel a thing. And the wound just vanishes over time.

In a dream I have years ago, I died (I got hit by a truck). The next thing I remember in the dream is being around 3 or 4 years old, re-incarnated into a new baby of my same family, and telling them how I was their reincarnated son who had been killed.

That was a pretty weird dream; especially because I believed that it had really happened.

Like what Shark Rider said, that one is pretty scary. To think that you even remembered the details, like how it sounded when you hit the ground and stuff.

How did you feel when you woke up?

That's a strange coincidence, cause I dreamt that on my 13th birthday I really died because a glass door outside my house broke and my dad threw it near the front door to remind him to get a new one. It lands with one side on a rock, causing all of the broken glass to fly at me once i step on it since it was on an angle, thus killing me. I was then reincarnated and was still in the same family. The odd part is that at one point in the dream I was told that Linkin Park wrote their song 'Pushing me away' in my memory or something

Yes, I just had one last week too. I posted about it in my first post. I died in car wreak. The dream continued after my death for quite awhile.

Oh man, i've been shot, strangled, decapitated, and drowned. It's usually followed by a brief period of darkness and serenity, then back to full awareness.

Did I mention a grenade, and plane crash?

I once dreamt that I had died and I was in heaven and bored as shit

I dreamed of asphyxation on the handle to a toilet-flush; don't know how that happened, but it really wasn't important, and I don't remember my actual death. I wandered around, looking at my friends and family, literally in tears about how much I'd miss them. When I got to heaven, I missed all of my friends already... And to make matters worse, I heard God say that he wasn't letting any more people into heaven! I woke up about then, in tears as I was in the dream.

I remember two death dreams. These were from a few years ago so I don't remember much.

1) I was looking at the turnips I had planted outside. They did exist in real life. I think I was about to water them when I just fell down on my head, then to my side and died. I became an entity that could not be seen. I felt a little airy and light, but everything else was the same. I wandered around the town trying to find a someone who could help me, though who could help somebody like that? I found this lady who had a camera. She took a picture and I was shown on the camera. We both talked and I became very depressed because I thought that I would remain in this state forever. I think I woke up.

2) I was in a hospital bed. My face was buried into a soft white pillow and I knew it was the end. My vision faded and I couldn't see the pillow's texture anymore and only a white tunnel. I wasn't scared at all for some reason and I saw a brief flash of something green (probably a meadow). I either woke up or don't remember the rest.

I've had about three.

1) I was walking on my way to school and it was sort of like a drive by shooting. I remember coming back to earth to tell everyone that I was alright.

2) I was being chased and then I got stabbed I remember floating up and I was in space. I was pretty upset because I was thinking if this was it. Just floating around in space.

3) I actually can't remember how I died but I remember that I did die and I was stuck in my body. I was wating for myself to leave my body but nothing happened for a long time.

I have had four death dreams.

1. First one I was eaten by a wolf, but woke up before I died.

2. Second one I was euthanised for being insane. I fell asleep after they injected me with sedative. It was beautiful.

3. I fell out of a flying car to my death. I was a ghost as well, going down a passage, and I could hear my mother talking to me. I had a choice between going back and keeping going. I chose to turn back, and woke up (not IRL) in the hospital, told I had broken everything but my skull, my spine and my spinal chord. They said I was a miracle.

4. I dreamed I was a ghost in purgatory with someone who had killed themselves. Then I had a flashback leading up to our deaths. I had died of an asthma attack trying to run away from a boarding school. I fell to the ground and said goodbye to my brother. It was an awesome feeling.

I LOVE death dreams!

I've had countless death nightmares. When I am stabbed to death I don't die I win. When I am shot to death I lay there pretend to be dead, waiting for the bad guys to leave.
When I crash up I get up. When I blow up my dream changes. When I am chased or close to death I become lucid 90% of the time.

Cool! Maybe this is the ultimate reality check! Just commit suicide, if you don't die you'll become lucid

I die in my dreams fairly regularly it seems.

I was shot in the head in a dream from last night.
I've also drown, fallen from high places, been stabbed...

I always "feel" myself die, too. which is a weird feeling. it's kind of a sinking feeling. i guess how you would imagine your body shutting down to feel like.

However, more often than not, this feeling perfectly, and smoothly transitions to me laying awake in bed. like half way thru the sinking and dying, i feel a growing sensation, which is me waking up. next thing I know i'm laying awake in bed, as if the feeling of dying was just the feeling of waking up. which I find to be a pretty cool metaphor.

I was killed in a nightmare a month or so ago; I was bitten on the neck by a Zombie, and fell in to a river as I died.

It was a bizarre sensation; it felt so peaceful.

As far as I can remember I have only had two and both of them were nightmares, waking me up terrified.

The first dream was set on a train during the Wild West of America (I am not American). And my Mum, Dad, twin sister and I were together on the train (but my other older sister was not in the dream for some reason (?)). Anyway th train all of a sudden came to a stop and some men with guns (outlaws I suppose) came into the carriage we were in and started yelling at us, but none of their lips were moving. My twin sister started crying and I held close to my Mum and Dad (Me and my twin were also much younger in the dream than what I was at the time I had the dream). The men wondered around the train and stole people's money and jewelry and went back towards the front of the train and yelled at us once again. They then started throwing the money and jewelry on the floor and urged for myself, my twin sister and the other children on the train to pick it up and they said that we could keep it if we did. So I, along with the other kids started to pick up the money and jewelry off the floor (nervous I will add) and then the outlaws began to kick us in the face as we picked the stuff up. Blood began to go everywhere and they began shooting people, but what I don't get is, is that myself and the other children still continued to pick up the money and jewelry whilst the shot people and whilst they kicked us in the face. The next moment I looked up at the guy who had been kicking me in the face (and my god my face was hurting) and then I was shot in the face, dead. And I woke up from the dream scared stiff, and sweating like a pig. I went down to my Mum's room to tell her what had happened and whilst there I looked at the clock and it was only a quarter to 12, so I had only been sleeping for about 2 hours or so.

The second dream involves me and a friend of mine from Primary School, which, during the time I had the dream, I had just had a fight with and was no longer friends with that person (I was also about to start High School). Anyway, I was somewhere in Europe for a swimming competition (I used to do Swimming Competition) and I was wondering around trying to find where I had to go for the race (My Mum wasn't in the dream and in the back of my mind during the dream I was seeking for to help find where I had to go). The funny thing about the dream was that I didn' have to walk very far and I'd be in Germany, then I'd walk another short distance and I'd be in France. In the dream it was also during summer and me and my friend were really hot so we decided to go get some ice-cream (over in the Netherlands) and I walked past some of my friends from swimming on the way and asked them for directions to the swimming pool (none of which lead me there). Then we finally reached the ice-cream kiosk and stood in a long line full of other people. The something happened, that I can't remember made me go out of the line and then I went back in and there was this lagre and really tall guy that grabbed me around the neck and just squeezed and squeezed until he had suffocated me. The next second I woke up sweating and breathing really heavily as if I was trying to catch my breath.

EDIT: Thinking about it, I once died in one of my falling dreams too. I hit the ground head first and my neck broke.

Been killed by a minotaur with a 9mm when I was 8. Blown up by a guy who stuck a grenade in his mouth when I was 13. I don't recall dying in my dreams once since then.

Sounds like you watched some crazy movies...

I die many times in my dreams. I often don't get to see what happens afterwards, but sometimes I do.

Two notable cases were one in which everything went black and I was stuck in a timeless/spaceless no-man's-land for some period of time, aware that I was either dead or dreaming. I tried to wake up, but couldn't (atleast for a while), so I assumed I had in reality died. It's an odd feeling, and I can't readilly remember it.

The other is one in which following my death, I felt as if an indescribably large weight had been lifted off of me, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. It felt fantastic, beyond words. I felt free from some horrible experience (life I suppose). I awoke and momentarily horrified that I had, for I was stuck back in my big, bulky, heavy feeling body (though I don't weigh much physically, below the average weight for my height/age, its just the feeling of being in a body I suppse).
