Fyodor Dostoevsky Notes From the UndergroundA dream! What is a dream? And is not our life a dream?
Sometimes if something really exciting to me happens and then I dream about it, my memories get mingled and I can't remember what happened IRL or in the dream. Only realistic things of course though! |

I think I know what you mean. Every once in a while I feel kind of dissociated from where I'm at. I'm almost SURE it's a dream and get frustrated when it's not. |

Just be glad you get dreams that are that vivid... |

No it's not that im tired, it's just like if I see a certain person at a certain place that i wouldn't expect to see I might get this weird feeling that im dreaming and then for a while im not sure whether im awake or dreaming. |

Strangely, this has never happened to me before. But I remember something strange from a very lifelike dream I had years ago. I had a Lion King poster on my room as a child. I was staring at the poster (don't think it was a lucid) and the different characters from the film started making scary facial expressions. Then I woke up in a strange way. I was staring at the poster. Reminds me of sleepwalking, except I wasn't actually standing or wandering, at least i think not. |

There are others here that mix up waking with dreams. Cant remember any of the posts of hand though. |

Well, there have been a lot of times when I was absolutely shocked that I was dreaming, and a few times when I did an RC and was surprised that I wasn't dreaming... Then there have also been times when I wake up delirious, usually if I have a cold. The strangest time was when I woke up in the middle of the night and my cat was curled up next to me, where he'd been when I'd fallen asleep. For some reason I wasn't thinking in words, I was thinking in knocks. That's the only way I can describe it, like knocking on wood or some other solid surface. Like I was thinking perfectly well, only concepts were expressed in knocks instead of words. It was really weird. Even stranger, I thought that my cat could not only hear my thoughts, but understand them. Maybe because he looked at me when I "thought at him". Then I went back to sleep and when I woke up in the morning I was pretty confused about the whole thing |
