... I suffer from a very poor memory, horrifically poor. My problem is, I often times get my dreams confused with real memories and it gets me trouble, half the time I spend my waking day trying to correct conflicts that only exist in my dreams. Also, my dreams tend to be very down to earth in a lot of ways, it makes it hard to differentiate for me. I was hoping some you may have a creative solution to this problem, or any advice on what I should do. |

^ Dream Journal^
Goals:
Remember my dreams a week strait
Have more than 10 LD's in a month
Have 2 LD's on my futon instead of my bed
Hey, welcome back, it's been awhile. I have practiced a few memory techniques throughout my time here, mainly memory chaining, but I'm not sure if that really helps in the long run, when I wanted to learn to visualize, I visualized thats the best I can suggest, so just try to stretch your memory by using it alot. I know I got loads better at visualizing. |

I wanna be the very best
Like no one ever was
To lucid dream is my real test
To control them is my cause
Just write everything down. I would take a short pencil over a long memory any day. |

One of the most popular methods to improve memory is a sort of Recall at the end of the day. When you're all ready for bed (or the day is sort of 'done' as it were) take a few minutes to go through and recall your day in reverse order (i.e. Now, 10pm, 9pm, 8pm ... 10am, 9am, 8am, Waking-up) I've heard this is an excellent therapy for those that suffer from memory issues, and seems like it could be perfect for your specific issue. I use a similar method when I'm doing my dream-journal in the morning; I always go from the most recent event, backwards. It works pretty well for me. Hope it helps |
