Thread: Taking drugs in dreams...

Seeing as I don't do drugs in waking life, I've never had any reason to dream of doing so.

I know of at least one dream where I had medication (anti-anxiety/antidepressants) like I used to take on me, but I can't recall at the moment if I actually took it in the dream or not. I figure it wouldn't matter if I did as that sort of drug has no visible immediate effects. *shrug*

I've never touched a drug in my life but smoked pot in a dream two odays ago.

I love it, it's much more surreal, and the highs always last longer with no after effects.

Usually it's a dream sign for me, cause I'm doing them in places I never would in waking life. I smoked pot in a huge church once during the sermon and another time I was in the principal's office of my old High School waiting to see the principal when some kid pulled out a pipe and some ecstasy.

Lol, is the only safe way to try a drug! I want to try heroine in my dreams only because I have heard it is better than sex. now I've never done heroine and don't plan on it either but I assume my brain will build it up to be something amazing!

Never done a heroine? What about heroin?

It doesn't work that way, I've tried a few drugs I've never done IRL in my dreams and when I finally did them in waking life(ecstasy and DMT, specifically) they were nothing like in my dreams.

Whoops! so I misspelled, shit happens I wanted to add though last night in my dream someone gave me a random pill and it kicked my ass! don't know what is was but I had fun!

yeah! i've smoked pot in a dream once and it was just like real life lol i got tired and everything. i also did acid in some dreams, but i always woke up before it kicked in hard (it takes 1-2 hours) so yeah my dreams are pretty realistic when it comes to that too.

Yea this is the experience I had as well. Its as if my subconscience knew there was a 1-2 hour come up before reaching the peak of the trip, so I just had relatively mild hallucinations.

I just had a dream earlier about hanging out with these rebellious teenagers in a room, and they were taking drugs and getting messed up, while I sat there clean. Only did weed once in real life.

It's happened a couple times. I'm relatively relaxed about using drugs that I'm well-read in and find to be "okay" or "good" for my development as a person, over-all. Once I had a dream that I did LSD at a cousin's wedding. I acted fairly strange (stranger than I act on LSD in real life) but oddly enough my family was okay with it, and perhaps even somewhat envious (?!)

I've also smoked DMT in a dream before, though I've never smoked DMT (tried ayahuasca once, but it wasn't that strong.) The dream wasn't really anything like I know smoked DMT is supposed to be like... So at least in my case, the imagined-effects are often incongruous with the actual experience in real life. I find the effects of drugs to be pretty inconsistent in general (ie: not always very realistic), and my imagined-high is probably influenced by other personal factors I have difficulty identifying.

It would be cool if a person could "design" an imaginary, ideal drug in a dream, creating whatever feeling or experience a person wishes at that time. Though I bet that sort of thing might require lots of experience with lots of different kinds of drugs, as some things just have to be experienced in order to be adequately understood.

There's every reason to do so! I've done loads of drugs in non lucids I haven't tried in real life and they've all made me trip like mad! Since you expect it will play with your mind it does so in dreams. Once I actually got stoned in reality dream pot didn't work anymore.

I have plenty of dreams where I've smoked pot. I smoked pot in my last LD. I have a lot more dreams of me getting drunk. When I'm drunk in a dream it just feels like I'm playing gta4, more fun then drunk in real life... Plus I can remember what I did better, haha.

LSD is an amazing drug but it is not to be abused. Experiencing alternate ways of thinking is key in the process of enlightenment. Even if you take it just once.

As for pot, I smoke it all the time in my waking life but as far as I can recall I've only done it once or twice in my dreams, which is weird. It feels like the same effect though, which is awesome.

I had a non-lucid dream that I found a huge stash of crack in my house and I stole it and smoked it in a pipe.

It was a white-ish or light-tan color lol.

I felt really dizzy in the dream after that, but it felt good.

Never taken a hardcore drug in a dream. Sometimes I'll have those odd sci-fi dreams where I'll take a pill or injection that will either induce a transformation (death, animal) or extreme drowsiness.

Yeah I've done loads of different drugs in dreams but they never really have any effect on me apart from making me go blind. A while ago I had a dream I smoked so much crack I went blind and all I could see was white.

HOLY SHIT!!!! That just reminds me. I don't know if it was last night or what but it was definitely recent. I dreamt I rolled up a big joint but instead of putting weed in it I put muck from the ground and there was even a snail in it. I smoked it with my friends and I remember it tasted horrible and it wasn't pleasant knowing I was smoking a snail but the whole situation seemed perfectly logical to me at the time. There was nothing at all weird about smoking dirt and a live snail.

I recently dreamed that I was doing weed with a group of other people - but it was in gum form, and we sat round chewing it. Then we went onto some 'concentrated' weed, which was in the form of poppy-seed like things that we just ate. I remember not really being high, but doing really weird and nonsensical things, then giggling uncontrollably at how stupid I was being.

I had a dream that I was either rollin' or on shrooms, before I've done them both. I'm guessing it was mdma cause the my body felt amazing. I smoke all the time in real life so I find myself doing so in dreams too.

Also the other night I had a dream I got like a tab of x and a sheet of lsd. I was just about to candyflip but then I woke up!

And one cup of jungle juice has me on the floor in my dreams haha.

Smoked pot a few times in dreams, but about the only thing that ever really stood out about the experiences was it was always smoked from strange 'pipes': usually a open, flat-bottomed thing made from a black stone. Totally impractical in the real world, but I guess it worked in the dream. I can't say I got especially stoned, because all the times I've done it, I was then distracted by something else in the dream and any thought of being high was quickly gone.

i have been smoking just about every day for the past 3 years, but i am currently on a trip with my dad and i cannot smoke. it has been 2 weeks now, and i have all ready had 2 dreams about marijuana.

in the first dream, i was in a random town and i ran into my buddy brian (who happens to sell pot) and he offered a bowl of some shwag weed to me. and i smoked the bowls, and immediately regretted it because i wanted to wait a month until i smoked again, plus it was shitty weed . but after taking a few hits, i started to feel completely blazed. it was soo realistic, comparable to when i first started smoking. I really cant remember much more after that, but I woke up feeling so suprised that the high could feel so real, when it was all in my dream.

and then a few nights ago i had one where i was smoking with my mom and dad (neither of which smoke). that was brought on because i had been talking to my dad about marijuana for a few hours earlier that night. but that dream was very similiar to the last one, where i felt incredibily high, and it was so real.

these are the only dreams that ive ever had, where i did drugs. my guess is that i have had marijuana in the back of my mind since its the longest break i have taken.. idk, i just figured id share them with you guys.

I've had so many dreams about doing drugs. Ive smoked pot, been drunk and snorted a line of high grade coke in dreams. Now here's the thing, Ive smoked pot and been drunk in RL but Ive never done coke (i have done amphetamines in RL though which is similar). I have done a lot of research on coke and its effects and I experienced all those effects in the dream! My face was numb, my heart began racing, and I felt a rushing onset of euphoria. I think thats crazy how my mind interpreted what it would feel like to be on a drug that Ive never taken.

Ive drank, smoked, and did pot, and I think injected something into me in dreams before, and ive never once did any of those things in real life, nor do I want too.
