      Crying in dreams.

Ok so sometimes I have these really sad dreams which are so real I actually believe they are... I then start crying in the dream and then when I wake up I am crying alot.
Does this happen to anyone else?

Can't say I recall ever doing that, but I remember a friend told me about doing so after a dream where people were sullying the good name of his deceased brother.

Nothing sad enough to make me cry ever happens in my dreams, though. Of this, I think I should be glad...

Yes, I've had dreams that upset me so greatly it not only wakes me up, but the feeling is still present for a few minutes afterwards. I always feel horribly confused too because of the awakening and sudden change of surroundings.

It happened to me, once. I forget why I was crying, and I'm too lazy to go through three dream journal notebooks to find it. XD

Anyway, the important thing is that I was crying in real life as I was dreaming. I wonder just how much sleep paralysis effects the face?

i do often find myself just sobbing in dreams, and the hurt feels so deep and real. it can be theraputic in way, though. waking up from those is usually a relief. i don't cry once awake, but i sure can feel heartsick.

I've never acually cried, but in dreams where I had a character who actually had a personality, or was important to me, if something happened to them orI realixzed at the end of the dream that I would probably neer see them again, I may get weepy in the dream then be depressed for a few hours to the rest of the day.

Yeah. I had a dream my mom died when I was really young. I woke up crying my eyes out. I was only like 7 I think.

As for now, I don't have very many sad dreams anymore.

Yeah Occasionally I will have a dream where I`m crying, and it actually makes me cry.
      Usually the ones about death.
      Well Jesus Christ,
      I'm not scared to die,
I'm a little bit scared of what comes after.
Do I get the gold chariot,
Do I float through the ceiling?

I've had dreams where the events would have made me cry in real life without question. But when they happen in the dream they don't have nearly the same emotional impact. Hopefully part of me knows i'm dreaming
Maybe, just for a second, you'll be awestruck.
      ...do you feel it to?

      no I'm serious
as in "teeth falling out" doesn't mean "bad hygiene", it can mean "loss" or even "death"
      what does shedding tears mean?
