      Multilingual Dreaming?

      Hey guys,

My first post in a long time, but I was wondering if anyone else has had a multilingual dream?

Last night, for the first time, I had a dream in English and Spanish. I don't recall the whole dream, but what I do recall is being on the phone talking to a guy. We started talking in English but after a little bit he spoke in Spanish, and I followed by replying in Spanish and this went on for awhile and we kept swapping from English to Spanish through out the conversation.

When I woke up, I didn't remember much, but the words I remember saying/hearing were real Spanish words and seemed to make sense to my knowledge of Spanish (I'm FAR from fluent, but I know a reasonable amount at the same time).

I found it really weird to have a dream that used another language, especially since I don't know Spanish well enough to have in depth conversations with it in waking life. My use of it seemed to be very good in my dream though, and I understood everything being said in the dream itself.

So has anyone else had similar experiences? Does it have any significance?

I've had a few dreams that went back and forth between english and french. Oddly enough, I wasn't as fluent as I am in real life in them

      And the Israelis speak Hebrew

I have a lot of dreams in English (I'm Danish)

And some dreams with Spanish, don't know how I could speak it though, but the memories are very vague.

Sometimes I will see bits and pieces of Japanese in my dreams instead of my native English, but never anything completely Japanese.

This could be used as a potential dream sign, as everyone I spoke Japanese to in my dream understood it. Not too many people speak it in reality.

Yeah, I get those from time to time.

In the last few months that I've been keeping a journal I've had dreams that were partially in German and Latin. I've also had some in the past in French, Spanish, and Russian, although I don't remember anything else about those dreams anymore.

Your dream is one that shows the (foreign thoughts that are about to come to you in your dreams). Many times we go through waking life and things pass us by (in our conscious or waking aspect), but the subconscious mind does not miss a detail. It monitors, collects and files all data encountered in our waking life. It retains some data for future comment or resolution (bringing needed information to our awareness. It does this through our dreams. They are partially conveyed in universal symbolism and partially in parallel story lines (to that which we have experienced in our waking life).
The foreign language is specifically the symbol that that shows the thoughts and information that is passed to us via the subconscious mind covering issues that we are not fully aware of (foreign to the dreamer).
Your dream introduces you in a broad way to this vital process of the mind. showing you that this process will be used again...and can be interpreted by you for meaning.

The language I tend to use most often in my dreams is English and Japanese. And I speak them both quite good in dreams and can understand them perfectly my English in reality is top notch my Japanese is iffy at best.
