Thread: Is there an explanation/reason why this happens to me in my dreams?

I have a friend who is never herself in her dreams. I don't think it's common, but you're not the only one who experiences this. As to what causes it, I think it has to do with your sense of self and how you define who you are.

Really? Oh, that explanation is so deep, I don't think that I QUITE understand. Lucky for me, it only happens to me some of the time, not all of the time. It would drive me nuts if it happened to me all of the time. When I'm "not myself" I rarely become lucid, if at all. I was on the verge of it with the lady, but not quite.

I don't think it's too strange to have that happen, or atleast I hope it's not because it happens to me pretty often too. Is there any type of specific situation you're usually in when it happens? Mine are mostly sort of video game like things, so I'm guessing they're just that I spend far too much time on them and imagine myself in them instead of being anything like Mzzkc said. It could just be something simple like that, not necessarily anything too deep.

I still don't see how what I said was deep. I would go into more detail, but the conversations I have with that particular friend I keep confidential. Still, what I said applies to you too, Kiwi.

I just don't really understand it, I'm not expecting you to explain it to me, just saying. There are many things that I don't quite understand, at least, I can't exactly wrap my mind aroung it.

Also, no they never have to do with video games. Just real life situations. I do sometimes play the video game (mostly sims), (my brain sees the whole screen as if I'm in it, but I'm not some video game person).

I found it funny how you were a male janitor in a restaurant, of all things Normally I don't like to read DJs, but yours could be interesting.
