Smile Inspired from a dream to make Quilling Royal Stuff!

I had a dream this morning about my quilling. Quilling is, basically, thin strips that you roll and shape into anything. That is a very basic definition. Google images if you wanna know more.

Anyway, I had a dream where I saw this awesome 3d quilling (what I've been doing lately), and it just so happened to have been inspired from playmobile (a fancy toy). In it, is was like a pic...but seemed so real. In it, there was a couple of adults and a kid. This kid had a crown on. And, later, looking at it the second time, I noticed a beautiful quilled rug.

My point is, in church, I started thinking about this. I had a revelation. It inspired me to create it! I am going to make a king, queen, and a princess, and thrones. It's going to take forever, and going to be epic!

In church...I decided I was so happy by the awesomness!

I just wanted to share this...I was actually inspired from my dream! If you guys have ever been inspired by something from a dream...do tell!

EDIT: I will post this dream later in here, when I get the chance

      Quilling Inspiration Dream
      DREAMNONDREAMSCENEDESCRIPTION

I got inspired to do a quilling project in my dream- that I've already started! I was looking at a picture, tv, something....of some AWESOME looking 3d quilling. I saw like 2 adult quilled people, and a baby or a kid or something. It was inspired by playmobile (a fancy toy that I LOVED as a kid) . I then go off to do something in my old room, now my sister's room. Something quilling-ish, maybe the playmobile royal set thing that I still own (the thing was over a hundred dollars...we aren't tossin it. It'll be my kids'es when I get kids) I then look at the quilled image again, through the same kind of view. I noticed, this time an awesome rug on the ground! Also, a quilled kid had a crown! It was SO cool!
      Sorry...the color was taken off

Um...here's what it looks like in my DJ (link): http://dreamviews.com/community/showthread.php?t=89258

      That's really cool!

I'm really into arts and crafts, creating things and whatnot... so I've had multiple dreams of making things. I've definitely tried to replicate some of the things I've had/made in my dreams.

In a dream I had once, I had knitted this really huge multicolored scarf. I spent most of the dream admiring it and showing it off to DC's. When I woke up the first thing I did (after a big pot of coffee) was go to the craft store and buy a huge assortment of yarn... It's so satisfying. Although it didn't come out exactly as it was in the dream.

That's awesome, dreams are definitely the ultimate creativity

I haven't really inspired say, by my dreams, but they have given me a lot of material to work with when writing. I'm currently writing a story and I'm going to try and use a lot of my dreams in it. Like characters, places, events etc. It's not very good yet but it's really fun to write.

I am 10 hours into this project (no I didn't give up, and won't!), and still have at least 20 to go. I may post a pic of it once I'm done, but that'll be at least another few weeks!

PLUS, I am also making one or two candles, and a rug. And, of course, I used gold strips for the thrones. I almost used one of my three packs up for one thrown! THAT'S a lot of paper- 100 feet to be exact .

Hey, thanks . Now I'm 23 hours into it, and I still have like 17 hours left! I am into the third pack of my gold strips, I'll have just enough. A good halfway into it. I'll do my best in posting a pic . The princess' gown is going to be rainbow with my awesome pearl paper, and she's going to be holding a few flowers.

OK, I am not yet done with this project...

41 hours, now (taking me longer then I thought!), and here's what I've done so far (link to pic)

I am 1/3ish done with the rug, then I'll have to make the flower pot. I may post a done pic in a week or two.

EDIT: If you wanna see more of my quilling stuff, check out this thread:

Definitely looks neat Also, 41 hours? D: I don't know anything about quilling but if the pic says anything, it's probably a very precise art form. I'dve probably lost it after an hour or two o.0

Also, your other stuff you made looks neat. I liked the Easter Basket and Mermaids a lot

2 months later, IT'S DONE! I had it on the back burner for a while, but I never gave up, and it's done! I ordered MORE strips for the rug...it's like 2 1/2 packs of the paper! About 55 hours.

Those look awesome! You did a really good job on those The rug especially looks pretty

I wish I could do stuff like this to showcase my dreams, I wish I knew how to draw i do use them in stories, but it'd be neat for other people to see things from my dreams like from a painting or something.

      Anyway though, really good job

Beautiful! What would you say took the longest to craft? Throne? Rug? King? Queen? Princess? Also, have you given a name for your masterpiece?
