Thread: Do you remember any dreams from when you were a child?

There are only two dreams I remember from when I was young.

First, my earliest dream was of lying in bed, and suddenly being attacked by all sorts of poisonous bugs. A really big spider bit my arm, and it started to turn red and swell and that's when I woke up.

The second was that I was in this giant sort of huanted mansion, and my family was there too. My mother turned me into a mouse with a spell, and my cat started to chase me around the house.

The details are pretty much gone, all that remains are the bare bones of the dreams. But that's what happens to most of my dreams. As they get older they wither away.

I had this nightmare many years a go where mannequins were taking over and it was nighttime. I was hiding in a shopping mall with friends, when a hoard of mannequins started coming up the escalator.

I remember this one nightmare from when I was little.

I had a twin (only in my dream) and we were at my Grandma's house. My Grandma loves me to death but for some reason in my dream, she favored my twin. My twin and I went outside to play around with our car (we had one of those little tike cars). Suddenly, a rabid that looked like a rottweiler came out of nowhere and started growling at us. We ran to the front door and started banging on it. My Grandma opened the door and let my twin in then shut the door. I banged on the door pleading to come in. My Grandma opened the door and said "No, I'm not letting you in". Then the rottweiler came running up to the door and attacked me. Luckily, I woke up when that happened.

I've only had 3 nightmares throughout my life but this is the only dream I remember from my childhood.

ive remembered this dream longer than any other. all i currently remember is that im in the middle back seat of my car. both my parents are in the front seats. a hobo looking guy runs at full speed into the road and jumps onto the hood of our car, proceeds to take out one of those window wiping things you use at gas stations and starts washing the windshield. i say something like "you dont see that every day". both my parents then simulateously turn around to look at me and theyre some sort of aliens (they look like sleestak) i try to scream but i cant, and i think thats where i wake up.

I've had some dreams from 1992-97 that I can't seem to get out of my head, especially one I've been writing in my Dream Journal about 2 times already.

The one from 1994-95 I remember dearly had kaleidoscopic patterns--blue and pink, and each revealed a beautiful woman. The pink one made the dream more intense; I heard moaning like this woman was possessed. I've called her "Amanda" ever since. I wrote about her in my Dream Journal in 2007, but three years later, I found out that Amanda's hair color was NOT blonde; instead, it was brown. She's also a character in a book that I'm writing right now.

I also remember one from 1992-93 after playing Sonic the Hedgehog for the first time on the Genesis and the "game over" music gave me mixed feelings. This wouldn't be the last time I had a Sonic dream. I would then go on to have one in 1995 that looked like 3 & Knuckles and again in January 2009. There was a strange sound after the "game over" music played in the dream I had.

I'm no stranger to weird dreams, but the '90s gave me the some of the most strangest ones ever. I'm 23 now and still remember them to this day!

I had a nightmare from when I was about five. I think I was dying. I was in my room surrounded by people I knew and I couldn't move and everyone was talking softly and quietly at me and crying. It was weird.

And then I had an eerily similar scene play out, oh, ten years later. Didn't die, though.

I recall four. One because it was very strange, and two because they were lucid. The other was a recurring nightmare about being chased by my neighbor's dog. The last one is actually kinda funny in hindsight because the dog was too small to really hurt anyone but was probably the most anoying living thing I have ever come into contact with, as it was outside yapping away all the time.

I remember a couple.

One was about a TV show I used to watch called Hoze Hounds, which was about fire fighting dogs. My favourite character won a medal.

In another, there was a moose on the loose and it was after me. It grabbed my shirt. (In waking life before the dream, there was a newspaper article about a moose that wandered into the city). It was so very creepy at the time.

I always had the same nightmare over and over again for friggin' years as a kid:

I just dreamed from numbers falling down in Matrix-style...

Nearly everytime I woke up crying. My parents said, I had spoken while sleeping. I said something like: "It doesn't fit! It doesnt fit!!"
Jesus, I hate this dream. I'm so glad that this is over...

Well i remember a few basic ones about flying i always remember my flying dreams coz i enjoy them so much (speaking of flying... i had another flying dream last night IT WAS AWESOME!!!!)

I remember having nightmares about Big Bird from Sesame Street coming out of the shed we used to have in our garden and picking me up and hugging me.

He proberly did not mean any harm but it was intense.

Only nightmares.
Here's one :

I'm at my home, I look at a watch and it's the middle of the night. Someone rings the bell, so I jump from the window. The grim reaper is there, I jump through his stomach and woke up.

Yeah, I was lucid.

one nightmare where kim possible from that kids show and me were tied up by the villain in the show and he was trying to suck our brains out with this ovrsized vacumn...
Another was my one and only False awakening that happened when i was 8, i always thought i had been "trapped" inside my dream until i came on DV.
