      My dream did the opposite of what it usually does

      Last night I had this dream where I was with one of my friends, and then me and some DCs decided to pull a prank on him by shooting people around him and making my friend think they were being killed. Well, I was holding a rifle of some sort, and the feel and its mechanics were so realistic compared to how guns normally handle in my dreams. And the DC victims were actually falling down when shot (usually when I'm in some sort of gun fight, the guns don't work right or the DCs are unaffected ). But the weird part was, me and the other DCs around me knew that people were not actually getting hurt, although it really seemed like it. And I even knew the DCs were not injured, although I was visibly shooting them and could see my shots hitting them.

      Its just weird because guns have never worked right before, and now when I'm just using them as a prank in the dream, they decide to work. Things never function right when I really need them too

      Dont know if anyone else has experienced mechanics of things not working in dreams, just thought i'd share this.

      I never experienced things working when they shouldn't but usually whatever I hope doesn't happen, happens. The harder I hope it doesn't happen the more likely it is to happen. Like if I'm sneaking to the cupboard to plunder some cookies, the harder I hope my mom doesn't catch me, the higher the chance it will happen. I think it's my mind's way of ticking me off.

      I think it was just a coincidence that your brain decided to make guns work right this time.

      It could be that since you weren't worried about hurting anyone, your mind wasn't keeping the gun from working.

      I pick up a half-eaten copy of a book by Neil Gaiman, and decide this is all his fault.

      Sameal, thats actually an interesting idea, its true I wouldnt necessarily want to go around killing DCs. But anyway, yeah it could've just been a random dream where things end up working
