Don't think so, a lot of people stop having nightmares after a certain age from what I hear, so it's normal.

It's not weird to have nightmares. In fact, people look at me funny when I claim that I still have them occasionally. "Shouldn't you have grown out of those?"

I pick up a half-eaten copy of a book by Neil Gaiman, and decide this is all his fault.

I heard that when everything is more or less fine in your life, your dreams cause less stress than in tough times.

This would explain why everybody (as far as I know!) had nightmares when they were kids (you haven't yet learned how to put into perspective bad events because you only live in the Now), but not necessarily later.

...I meant it's normal to not have nightmares. Where did the edit button go, anyway?

I don't think it is dependant of age. I found it funny that someone would use the phrase "grown out". I just think that for us lucid dreamers nightmares rarely are a problem, since we have become quite adept of understanding and separating waking reality from dream reality. For instance, I think I am always aware that I am dreaming, in some sense, even if I am not lucid. Thus, I am never afraid in my dreams.

I know many adults who seem to have very horrid nightmares. If you got something pressing on your mind, it usually manifests in dreams.
Jujutsu is the gentle art. It's the art where a small man is going to prove to you, no matter how strong you are, no matter how mad you get, that you're going to have to accept defeat. That's what jujutsu is.
