Dreams that make you think your awake?

The other night I was in some weird real life type dream. It was about me being with a circus team, So we were going to the circus, We arrived there. The dream felt 100% real I thought I was awake. I was thinking. What the hell is going on with this picture? In the dream I could feel, see CLEAR vision, and smell stuff. I could feel my sell falling to the floor and I could feel the pain like I would in real life. I didn't know what was going on I thought I was awake. Even the leader of the team. The dream character told me I was awake. I don't know why I would dream about being in the circus. The dream was absolutely freaky. It was like a real life type of dream. I thought I was awake. I was really freaked out. I could hear allot of people talking clear. And I could see them clearly. It was like I had full vision of their faces and the areas around them.

I don't know if this was Lucid or not. Because I know Lucid dreams happen when you know they are dreaming. Does anyone know what this kind of dream is called? I am really confused. I would be appreciated if anyone could help me out. I am confused it isn't funny. It was like it was real life. It felt really real like I was actually there. Has anyone experienced this before? What would cause this to happen? Please don't laugh or anything. I'm being serious. I don't know what I experienced. It was really vivid. It tricked me into thinking I was awake. And this didn't felt like a false awakening dream. I don't know what to think of this. If anyone has experienced this before I would be appreciated if you could help.

hey man that means you have REALLY good dream recall. Most of the time I can only remember the visual and audio of my dreams. There are a bunch of dream signs in there, and since you have the recall already, I think you're pretty close to awareness and becoming lucid with those kinda dreams.

Yes, I agree. Most of my dreams are pretty deceiving, too. I once gave a whole exam in the dream, only to find out upon waking that I still have to ACTUALLY give it. Got a lot of practice, tho.
Don't worry about it, it's normal. Try to increase your RC frequency, that way you will get lucid more often even if you have this clear dreams.
Super Clear, Life-like Dream + Reality Check = Super Clear Lucid!!
'The petals dance through the wind,
The crimson blood shimmers on the snow,
The shattered heart weeps of hidden sorrow.
And over a pure white sky,
      rises a black moon.'
