Exclamation Numbing/buzzing feeling from laying down?

This happened a few days ago and it was pretty weird and I never had it before.
One night I wanted to fall asleep fast so I laid in my bed facing the ceiling and fought every urge to move and just kept my eyes shut for what seemed to be 20-30 mins. After a while my whole body felt numb and felt like I was getting heavier and sinking and It felt like I was high on weed (which I wasn't) so I smiled and every time I moved it took me out of that feeling. What the hell is this?
      And no I'm not crazy.

      Sleep paralysis.
I don't usually think, therefore I mostly am not.

I did look into that after I got that sensation but It said it happens after REM sleep which I didn't have. Is this part of starting WILD or something that I'm not familiar with? Say if it tried it again and staid still for a few hours, would I drift into a dream consciously?

That would be a WILD. You were in Stage-3 of your sleep cycle. You can go here for more information:

No, it was NOT Sleep Paralysis. He said her was able to move, and when he did so, the feeling went away. Sleep Paralysis = Unable to move. Simple enough.

Drat, I missed the "I was unable to move" part. Sorry.

It's just the feeling of numbness that sets in from your body not moving.

Emmm... is it really that unusual? I can do this whenever I want. Feels wierd for a few seconds but then I'm completely relaxed/numb. Only takes me like 10 seconds.

I actually like to do this. Helps me fall asleep. Imagine yourelf being peeled from your physical body and imagine the numbness as you being seperate from your body. It's relaxing.
