Thread: Where Do Your Lucids Begin?

Mine always begin in the same place, as false awakenings in my bed.
I could recognise I am dreaming by thinking things are strange and dreamlike, and then my dream would go black and I would FA.
And really, all my dreams have started as false awakenings in my bed and I just somehow know to RC. In a number of occasions I have just woken up in my bed in the dark and RCd then got out of bed to a lucid, no problem.
I just wonder whether its a normal thing to begin your lucids in the same spot every time? I've never come across this on Dreamviews so heres my thread asking.

I know right? All my lucids have started in my house! Or in my neighborhood. Not false awakenings, just DILDs in my house! We have the same problem, and I think its due to the fact that im not a pro and my mind is not competent enough to build an entire dreamscape by itself. Or just that im more comfortable living a world where everything is already pre-built. After all, my dream control is still weak

Your mind is more than capable of generating a new dreamscape. I have been to some amazing places that I have never been in real life.

Go traveling next time and you may be surprised.

Same here...my balcony in particular
The balcony is a mini-garden which gives me enough space to fly or do something stupid...
I begin to think of it as my training ground...
You remember where ALL of your LDs start?
Most of the time I would just realize I was dreaming out of the blue and forget what I was doing...

Well when I first started learning to LD before I knew what it was called it was always at the same house that I have never been to in my life or at least that I can remember. I have two cousins there and I have had the dream so many times I become lucid because i know its a dream as soon as I see the setting. But after a while I got to where some dreams were just evident that they were dreams. They are wherever my dream puts me

i usually end up somewhere I don't know or never been to. the only lucid i remember where I was had actually been my first lucid in front of this exact computer im on now.

I always get lucid in my house... And I always jump out the window to do whatever, lol.

All over the place. I usually become lucid when someone's trying to kill me. Doesn't happen a lot in my waking life.

Ditto. Mine literally happen at any time, in any place. Just depends on what situation actually caused me to realize I was dreaming.

I usually become lucid in my house or bedroom as well but I don't get out much either while awake.
