i think recall is extremely important. i have very poor recall, i had a ld about a week ago, and the only thing i remember of it was becoming lucid . so i am sure i have had a lot of lds which i can't remeber |

Well, at the end of the week, I can only remember five dreams. All of them were lucid. I had a bunch of non-lucids, but I forgot all of those the minute I got into the shower the morning I had them. This is making me wonder about the importance of recall and making me question whether it really is necessary to have LDs. |

I would think that when you're a reasonably experienced LDer like you are, Mzzkc, you can slack off where us n00bs can't. Based on what I've read, this at least goes for Dream Journals, so why not for dream recall (of the normal dreams) all together? However, if it gets too bad you'd be more likely to actually miss out on some LDs, right? Also, if you had cared for it, you probably could've remembered some more dreams by writing down stuff in the morning, so it's not like you don't have dream recall really. |

LD's since joining: 11 (some consisting of several chained together)
Goals: Become lucid [x], Fly [x], Talk to a DC [x], Have a longer, stable LD [x], Challenge for September (basic) [ ], Punch a celebrity [ ]
Long flying trip [ ], Teleport [ ], Summon someone [ ]
Recall is more important than, dare I say, the dream itself. |

Here is a clearer question. Memory is used to aid one in determining future action. It is a surval function. Why would anyone then even remember a dream unless, in some fashion, it had something to do with a survival function? Do biological facts support Job 33:14-17? |
