Either of 2 things are happening at this point when the hallucinations stop: 1.) you woke up and are still lying in bed, or 2.) you are in a dream aka a mental dream model of your dream body lying in your dream bed. During sleep paralysis, often our minds create a mental model of our waking life beds/bodies during the transition to sleep. Though you may be convinced you are still awake, you may now have just transitioned into a dream body or dream bedroom. Take this opportunity to do a reality test to see if you are a dream. Some mentally will themselves out of bed, some try to float over their beds, some use a kinesthetic/rocking technique, and some dreamers just get right up. If you've already experienced sleep paralysis, there is a good chance you are dreaming.
