Combining non lucid and lucid dreams?

Last night I had the most amazing dream.

Long story short, in the dream I fell in love (despite that in real life I am happily married, and in the dream I acknowledged that I was married, but simply couldn't resist the temptation of the man in my dream, because we were... well... "in love").

I've had several dreams like this spanning over several years, with three different men featuring in my dreams (two were people I don't know, and one was an old schoolmate - he has made repeat appearances, but the other two "unknowns" have so far been a one shot deal).

In last night's dream, I became aware near the end that I was dreaming, but I didn't do anything about it because before today's research (which is brought on by my, uh, mild obsession with the man in the dream) I didn't know anything about lucid dreaming.

My question is, has anyone ever brought a character from a (for the most part) non-lucid dream over to a lucid dream? Or have they made appearances on their own?

Yes, Its one of the main reasons to Lucid Dream. Dreamers manifest real life people in their dreams all the time. I've done it once. And its a high possibility that they can just pop up in LDs by themselves. But to answer your question, yes, you can meet "him" in a lucid dream if you wanted to. In fact it's a theme that's the plot in the movie The Good Night by Jake Paltrow.

Try to expect that you'll meet him in your lucid dream, like when you open the door, expect him to be there, or if you've been to his house go there and expect him to be there, it works.

Thank you for the information. Does this also apply to the two "unknown" characters? The ones I don't know in real life? Or does it only apply to people I've really met/known?
