Weird ways you became lucid

I had a non lucid dream where I was about to fall off this apparatus and I was worried but I put things in to perspective by thinking "well its ok cause I'm dreaming" and i thought like "What? I'm dreaming and I know that?" and then i knew I was dreaming and i was lucid but the actual first thought was not while I was lucid. It was as if i new it all along but didn't acknowledge it.

What are some strange ways you became lucid?

My first LD came about from doing an RC to prove to a DC that I wasn't dreaming.

RC works most of the times, sometimes I become lucid when something weird happen just like my last lucid, when my friend was turning himself into a pokemon then I asked him, If I killed you while you're a pokemon will you die for real ? , then I checked my words again and knew I was dreaming .

My dreams contain an endless haul of oddities such that they become the normality of the dreamworld. In that respect, it's the mundane, reality-like discrepancies that usually result in me becoming lucid - i.e., boarding a bus, and then paying with numerous 20ps instead of using my bus pass. >_>
