Thread: Recognizing Dream Signs

I started my DJ like 5 weeks ago and identified few dream signs. Since then, I have been seeing two dream signs more frequently than ever. My cousin sister and my old college friend are those two signs I started seeing in my dreams more frequently, its like every other day. Still, I do not recognize the signs. I'm not aware enough to realize those are my dream signs and perform a RC once I see them.

It's like my mind is putting them in my dreams and not letting me realize on purpose. Torture.

I can't practice RC when I see them as they are far away and I don't see them in my waking life, almost never.

Any thoughts/tips please?

i would also like help on this too. i get so many obvious dream signs that i ignore. i have to see it as a positive though because once i have cracked that, then hopefully i will have many chances to be lucid.

somehow you need to incorporate your dream signs into your waking life. if you dont see them in real life the just remember to tell yourself that you see them, or just think about what they are more often and hopefully this starts to spill over into your dreams.

mine seem to be birds these days. i see alot of parrots in odd places which really get me lucid often although istill miss these. i saw loas of flying emperor penguins the other week and this till wasnt enough for me to realise that something wasnt right

i also have strange problems of trying to convince others that it is a dream, without being properly lucid myself. also dream characters tend to convince me it is all normal when i start to ponder if its a dream. the one with the penguins my dad managed to convince me that it was all ok and they were just the type of penguins that can fly.....

ps if you think that is torture, you should see what its like when you try some psychadelic and end up walking around the lower astral for ages with seemingly demonic faces mocking your inability to recognise that what you are doing is dreaming. that is truely torture, and i guess also pretty much the definition of pergatory for lost souls. this si partly why i need to get good at being able to recognise and react to dream signs. i do not want to go through that all again and would love to be able to have those psychadelic experiences without the fear of becoming lost or trapped somehow



it would probably hepl if you could give some kind of indication as to what your dream signs tend to be, then we can figure out how best to get them into your daily reality checks. good luck matey

And this is a problem for me too. My dreamsign is me doing a backflip, and then running up walls in gravity-defying ways. At every opportunity during a dream, I do this. Yet I never become lucid from this observation.

So I'm wondering how does one incorporate this into a waking life activity to become aware of its presence when asleep?

hmm its a tricky one. sometimes i like to just jump as a reality check. normally when im on my own watch acrobatic videos while thinking lucid, think about things like gravity as often as you can and fuck it why not try running up the walls occasionally

lol at me actually trying to run up walls like Jackie Chan. That'd be the end of me, especially with this abundance of snow.

That seems interesting: to watch acrobatic (x) videos whilst simultaneously pondering lucidity (y). In effect, through memory association. So when (x) appears, then the memory trace for (y) will naturally be activated. Yes, I think that would work. Good insight.

I think we need to exercise our brains to remember things without reminders. Set some targets and accomplish them during the day. Say 4 -5 targets for the day. Like, 'Eat an apple after lunch', 'Call my friend Jack this evening' and so on. Do this for couple of days and see if we accomplished all of them without fail and if failed, practice until we don't miss even one target. Or similar exercise to improve our memory.

memory could definately play a good part here. i know ive given my short term memory a good old bashing over the years, fortunately with added bonus side effects.... anyone have any tips for redeveloping this?

also just visualising yourself doing the flips while you are awake should help, and also is excellent exercise for your dream body. i visualise dancing sometimes when im meditating and they are some of the closest times i have come to having full on wilds

Well the point most of you missing here is that the logic center in our brain shuts down during dreaming in other words we get dumbed down and take all that weird dream scenery as something normal...I honestly believe that those who can LD regulary and easily , have a different brain chemistry .So after 3 months of repeating those useless Reality checks everyday and not getting any results i opted for the chemical way in the form of galantamine and choline supplement and on the first night i had 2 LDs with this thing...Now i am gonna make up on those 3 months wasted doing those utterly useless Reality checks...

what kind of reality checks were you doing? remember it is useful to rotate them otherwise they just become habitual. focus on doing reality checks on your own dreamsigns and they should start becoming more useful. supplements can be a good boost but it will be of little help if you become dependent on them. use the supplements to show you the door, the go and find the door on your own

the logic centre is only shut down during dreams where your awareness is low. reality checks should help to improve this, although i know how frustrating it can be to constantly have weird dream signs that you fail to recognise

So you just take Galantamine and Choline and go to bed and it works just like that? Or you do practice affirmation or some after taking those?

whitetrain , My conclusion on reality checks is built on actual cases and dream journal data drawn across not only from my notes also from others...Unfortunately we must accept that there is not a surefire LD technique that exist which can be used to give posotive results everytime for everyone , and I tried pretty much everything from sessions with a qualified clinical hypnotherapist and nlp sessions to castanedas hands method , as for the reality checks, they were varied ; digital clock/text checking , trying to float , pushing hands into solid objects , pinching nose...Thats why i felt that theres gotta be some sort of chemical influence i cant exert to increase awareness and the answer came in the form of galantamind formula coupled with the before bed affirmations worked perfectly fine . I do believe that RCs might work for some but they simply failed for me because i couldnt reach a certain level of awareness ( by the way i have been meditating regularly for 15 years ) in the dream to initiate them....
WhiteTiger0811 I go to sleep at 10pm fall a sleep with affirmations that i will realize that i am draming , wake up at 330am take the galantamind formula ( galantamine + choline + vitamin b5) and the rollercoaster ride begins lol...now i do only take this formula once a week as i dont want a desensitization and tolerance to it and i vary it by combining it with a yohimbe extract or green tea extract in very small amounts....never take galantamine before bed as you are bound to have nightmares of the wrost kind lol...I recommend a very good read that scrutinizes the current LD techniques Blogs on lucid dreaming techniques
