Post My lucid dream experiences and a recent breakthrough.

Lucid dreaming is not a foreign concept to me. I have had a few of them before, and each time I found myself daydreaming about the possibilities of Lucid dreaming. But this is the first time I have looked up a website where I can learn about other experiences. So I am going to describe a few of my dreams to anybody who thinks they can learn from the lucid dream experience of somebody who hasn't been influenced by outside sources. I have decided to start looking up information on lucid dreams because last night I had a breakthrough, and I am trying to find ways to take my lucid dreaming to the next level. If you want to skip to the story of my breakthrough past the lucid dreams of my past, just go to the third to last paragraph. Or if you want to get to the complete gist of it, go to the last paragraph.

My very first lucid dream came when I was very young. I was playing baseball on a field with my friends, including my best friend who had recently moved to Georgia, and since my other friends and I lived in North Carolina, I realized this was impossible and that I was in a dream. I walked over to the light control box near next to the field, flipped a switch, and the dream shut off. If anybody can explain those actions to me, I'm all ears, because to this day I don't know why I reacted that way when I found out I was dreaming, and I don't know why I was able to shut of the dream by using an electrical box within the dream. I just did.

My next lucid dreams come with a sexual nature, but I will clean up the wording on the couple of dreams that go far enough to offend. They are also really long, because they were more recent and I remember more details.

The next lucid dream I remembered came in high school. Many many years after the baseball field dream. I was in my school's computer lab, everybody was really distant from me. It was like I wasn't actually there, like a ghost walking among them, but I didn't feel like a ghost. I don't know how I realized I was in a dream, but I did. I could just feel it. When I realized I was in a dream, I experienced no fear of embarrassment. I walked right up to this computer where a girl I liked was sitting and started making out with her. She didn't resist, but wasn't into it at all. She didn't kiss back. She wasn't offended or anything, there was just no reaction. I was shocked at this because I thought it was my dream, so I can do whatever I want. When I realized this wasn't true, I backed off. Feeling that embarrassment that I had avoided ever since I realized I was in a dream. I felt sick. She got up and walked away, still not even acknowledging my presence. After she left the computer lab, I followed her. I knew I was in a dream, I knew I was in my dream, so I was going to take full advantage and kiss the girl I liked. I was determined. So I walk out of the computer lab and into the library, I somehow knew she was there. I find her sitting in a group circle with her friends, like she does in real life. I still had that feeling of embarrassment, which those of you who have been through high school know turned the dream into a nightmare, there is no worse feeling. But either way I knew when the dream was over the feeling would be gone, so I went up and tried to kiss her again. Again it was like kissing a girl in a coma. I got no reaction. I stopped trying and I don't remember what happened for the rest of the dream.

The next dream is weirder if you can believe that. I was in a coed bathroom, with about 20 other people all going to the bathroom. It was like a public bathroom in a major city with all of the people going in and out. But it wasn't in a city, it was at my high school in a non existent huge coed bathroom in the middle of the parking lot under some pine trees. Anyway, I realized I was in a dream somehow when I was in the bathroom, I probably realized it when I saw lots of guys and girls in the same huge bathroom. Anyway, I wanted to take advantage and make out with a girl. So I see this cute one going into a stall. But that feeling of embarrassment comes back. It was like I remembered my last lucid dream, though I am not sure that I did, especially because these dreams were not even close to each other in my life. They were separated by months, maybe years. I didn't have the normal amount of fear of embarrassment that I should have, but I was a little scared. So I stalled. I went to go pee, waiting for her to come out of the stall. I didn't know when I was going to make my move. But the bathroom was so chaotic that I lost sight of her and she disappeared before I could even try to kiss her.

These next two happened over the last two nights, and they are the reason I am trying to research and perhaps become more adept at lucid dreaming.

Two nights ago I started the dream at a huge cocktail party. It was really nice and people were dressed up. I was talking with a few of my old friends from high school and eventually I was alone talking with this one girl who I hadn't thought about in a while who I knew in high school. She started blatantly hitting on me, saying things like, "I always thought you were sexy." Just then I realized I was in a dream. It just hit me. I don't know how I lost sight of her, but I did. I ran upstairs, somehow knowing she had gone up there. But since I knew I was in a lucid dream, I just thought to myself, I am going to put her in that room on the right. I went to the first door on the right side of the hallway, and she wasn't there. Instead, the room was old and decrepit. It looked like a 100 year old haunted house in there. When I turned around, the hallway looked the same way, old and decrepit. I went to every room upstairs looking for the girl, but all of the rooms looked the same way with no girl. I ran downstairs and the party was gone and the whole ballroom looked like the upstairs did, like an old haunted house. I still knew I was in a dream, but I had no control over it, it had control over me.

Then the next night, last night, I had another lucid dream. But this time, I controlled it. This one is much less detailed because I had another non lucid dream last night, so I forgot a lot of what happened in the lucid dream earlier last night. But I remember I was in a big room or hallway with a lot of people. I knew I was in a dream, I don't know how. But I remembered the night before while I was in the dream and decided that wasn't going to happen this time. This time I decided which girl it was going to be, she was going to be in to it, and it was going to happen where I wanted it to happen. Let me preface this next bit with some information. I have never been able to make it to the good part in a sex dream. I always get too excited and I must get an adrenaline rush or something, because I just wake up when it starts getting good. I didn't put any of those dreams in my post because I can't remember any of them in enough detail, and the dreams I posted were just there to describe the evolution of my lucid dreaming. So, with that tidbit of information. I saw a group of people in front of me, and I decided that once I get through that group, I was going to see this cute girl from high school that I took to prom and had a crush on just sitting there to the right. Exactly that happens. I go up to her and start kissing her. BTW, this is the same girl from the computer lab story, but this time she kisses back. We are so into it that let's just say that she is taking it too far, to stay within forum rules. So I feel this, and start getting really excited, and I start to notice myself getting too excited to the point where I am going to wake up. I try to get her to stop, but she doesn't, and I wake up. Needless to say, I was bummed. But also I was extremely excited to know how well I controlled that lucid dream, especially compared to the night before. I was also really excited to know that it happened two nights in a row, when I don't think I have had more than a dozen in my life.

The point of this is, I am sure there are people who research things like this, or are just interested to hear other stories. And I was thinking there might be people out there who might be able to explain some of the things that happened in these dreams. One big one I want to know is if anybody else is having the problem of getting too excited in sex dreams and not being able to finish them. I would also like any suggestions on how to better control my dreams, or is it just practice? And finally, are there any books out there on lucid dreams that I should check out?

Thanks in advance for your input.

Hmmm... I'm not an expert but it seems that you have a lot of vivid dreams about this person. I also think that the embarrassment feeling is hindering your ability to fully control the LD. Those are some nice experiences to share as well. My dreams are always normal but with an anomaly. For instance, I would have a dream, I'm at lunch talking to a few friends. OK, nothing strange about that. Then something weird will always be placed in the scene like an octopus "sitting" at a table next to mines and starts eating pizza... My dreams are always weird but are always in respect to my real surroundings.

Looks like most of your dreams you try to make out with a girl, instead try something new like something impossible, sex is something you can do in real life, though it's harder in real life.

Oh yeah, I just realized the potential of lucid dreaming recently, and I have been planning to attempt flight the next time. I know it is really unoriginal, and I have no idea how difficult it would be to do, but flying just seems like one of the most fun things I could do. The sexual situations come from my sudden realization that there would be no repercussions for just going for it with some girl. Only by reading this site have I realized that sex is probably the last thing I want to do when I have a lucid dream. Do any of you know of any books I could read on the subject?
