Since I've gotten back into the dream study thing (Dream Views has reignited my interest in such things, thanks guys!), I've been making an effort to pay attention to the little details while falling asleep and after waking. I've noticed that while I'm trying to remember my dreams to write down that often they seem to come to me as nonlinear. That is, it seems that my subconscious just throws them at me in a big jumble as if it didn't matter and I have to consciously try to work out some sort of time line that makes sense (as if dreams ever make any kind of sense |

Ok, this is really starting to wierd me out! It happend again this morning (remembering old forgotten dreams.) It always happens when I'm trying to solidify my memory of the dream I had that night. I'm sitting there walking myself through it to bring back all the details and boom, bits and pieces of old forgotten dreams just start poping into my head. I've heard of people developing excellent recall but, jesus what the hell is this! The only way I can describe it, is it's like looking through an old picture album. One will come accross old pictures of yourself and immediately remember the setting in which the picture was taken, even despite the fact you haven't thought about it in years. I had parts of four different dreams pop up while I was just trying to remember the details of the one I had the night before! |
