      Any help over here?

I have read so many topics, so many posts, so many books... i have tried to lucid dream.. until today i have stopped, people with 4,458 posts and they only have 13 lucid dreams? thats pitiful.. i have heard of people writing books when they have only had 10 lucid's.... why would anyone work so hard to achieve maybe 13 dreams out of 4,458 posts, they have had to be here for a while

Because some people are naturally gifted at lucid dreaming, like some can be naturally gifted with art or athletic abilities. And for others, and it takes time and patience to be able to. I'm sure that for them, 13 lucid dreams is a big success.

Or maybe they just really, really like being on the forums.

Yeah no joke, lol. Just keep it up, read more and maybe try some of the things mentioned in the text. Eventually, it will come I'm sure. Good luck

If I was planning on having them that infrequently, I wouldn't think it was worth it either. But a few years ago I tried to LD and in 3 weeks was having about 2-4 LDs every night (which I couldn't stay in). I plan to get to that level again. I expected to be getting them often now, and am surprised that I haven't started regularly getting them yet. I agree, if someone has 4k posts and a low LD count it might be pittiful. But I don't think that's the general case.

There are people who sign up to dreamviews with the main goal of achieving an LD, but as they spend more time here they stay more for the great community this site has. I had a friend who had over 1000 posts wothout an LD - and when he had his first Lucid Dream, many people congratulated him. Pitiful is an extremely harsh word to use for people (like my friend) who spend many nights and many DJ entries to achieve what some people find second nature. Anyway, just realize that there are naturals, and the opposite.

Sorry for elongated post, I didn't mean to sound assertive or abrasive, just giving you my point of view
