I did it! I finally managed to make myself dream lucidly! After having to read a gruesome short story about war, and analyzing it and discussing it in my English Literature class, I went home, did my homework, drank some chamomile/spearmint tea, and fell asleep.
My dream started, and I didn't know where I was. The only thing that was going on was some kind of bank robbery, and apparently, my mom and dad were in a law enforcement agency. They go into the bank vault, along with me. The vault was weird, because it was like a cave. I remember wanting to have a gun very badly because in real life, I am very familiar with them, and know how to use them. I figured I would be able to help them out if I had a gun. They refused. As we were traveling through the vault, I found two guns over the course of about ten minutes. There was a pewter-gray large caliber revolver (that they took from me) and a pistol that looked like a Glock. They also took the Glock. Being fed up with not being able to help, I went and enlisted in the military. I was trained with a sniper rifle and was quickly sent off on a mission. As I was running from the base to where I was supposed to perform my duty, I realized that I am not really as fit as I was. I ran at a very high speed for what seemed to be twenty minutes. I have really been into fitness in real life lately, because I am sick of being uncomfortable with taking my shirt off in front of people. I think that my consciousness of my fitness allowed me to realize that something was not right. I started to think, "What if I'm dreaming?" I finally realized that I was indeed dreaming. Throughout the mission, I made my own decisions on where to go. I didn't stay asleep for very much longer and cannot remember anything past the mission, but I'm so happy that I had my first LD that I felt compelled to post about it.
