Since I've started using the site's dream journal, I've come across this situation. I've had dreams about many people I know in waking life, but I don't really want to publish their names out in public. |

I think you could just use their first names, I mean, there's prolly tons of other people with the same name out there. I personally don't use the on-site DJ and I write all of my dreams in Dutch so I have never had problems with using their real first names. |

"I'm attempting to eat pancakes with syrup, but I can't seem to succeed no matter how hard I try"
I think you will find that it will be the same handful of people appearing in your dream. I am sure you will be able to keep track of the names you changed and such. If not, then I suppose you could change them to very similar names. 'Lucy' becomes 'Loo Loo' 'Dean' becomes 'Dan' and so on. |
|
If you don't want to use their first names, you could create a legend in your notebook to keep track of who's who. |

I wouldn't concern yourself to much with it tbh. First names are ambiguous enough. |

As the pattern gets more intricate and subtle,
being swept along is no longer enough.
