      WILD without wake?

Is it possible to skip the sleep and jump directly into a dream, or do you have to sleep first to enter a REM cycle? I was just wondering if you could lay in bed and achieve SP and then slip into a dream?

You're asking if it's possible to dream while awake? No, the REM cycle is when dreaming occurs. If you can achieve SP while still conscious then you already did the hard part, in my opinion. From there you just need to stay alert and not get lulled into unconsciousness by the hypnotic imagery and audio.

No I'm not wondering if you can do it while awake. I'm wondering if it requires the 3-5 hours of sleep first, or if you could just use the same techniques when you first lay down for bed.

No it doesn't, but it will surely take way longer and be harder. For example, last time I did it, it took around 2 or so hours of laying in bed until I could WILD.

it's extremely difficult. You're better off waking naturally and attempting whatever you're going to do then
