      dreams within dreams, within dreams, within dreams INCEPTION?!?!?!?!??!?!?

      this post is about if you have ever had a dream within a dream or a dream within a dream within a dream or longer. even if you havent do you think your subconciouse would be very open to any suggestion that you thought of. would the dream be weird like they said it would be unstable in inception. what if you died within a dream within a dream within a dream within a dream . and one more thing has anyone tried using totems for reality checks or do you think they would be good?

      I have had up to 15 "layers" of dreams in a single dream. Of course it didn't work like in inception, not at all. And totems would be good RCs, simply because of placebo or the creativity of the person who does it.

      There (as far as we know) is no layers in dreams. Dreams aren't in different levels of the sub conscious, it is the sub conscious.
      But you could play out a layered dream of sorts. If you want to hear what it is go through my posts, there should be one recently about layered dreaming.
      Lucid dream goals:
      1. Get into SP /Check
      2. have a long LD
      3: Fly
      4: Have some epic battles with my childhood heroes and villians (DBZ)

      You can't really have a dream with in a dream with in a dream and etc. That one dream will just simply turn into a dream you think you are in another dream. Make sense?

      For me I found it hard to count for reason that my thoughts during LD play out in images thereby forming another layer (so it is not a dream within a dream).

      It seems like you can only have false awakening in dreams, but my friend has had OBEs just like inception with different aspects of every layer solely found there

      Well, having a false awakening, if you remember the dream you had before, is having "a dream within a dream" of sorts. I once had two false awakenings when I remembered what had happened before.

      when i first started having lucid dreams, the only times i became lucid was if i went to sleep inside a dream. also i find that once i become lucid in a dream, if i then WILD while in the lucid dream, i gain much more control over the dream and it becomes much more vivid and clear.
