Before going to sleep last night, for about 20 minutes I just keep saying in my head "You will wake up after your dream" over and over. Surprisingly, I woke up at 4am right after a dream. I don't remember much about the dream before- but I was going to try and WILD for the first time. I just got in a comfortable position- and didn't move at all for about 10 minutes or so. I forgot the stretch before trying, and my legs were starting to feel weird so I got up, stretched, and tried again. This time, I was starting to have a lot of FA's or things like it. I would imagine myself starting to move around in bed- and quickly sitting up from bed. I tried to calm my self and imagine the place I wanted to dream about. I wanted to dream about Freshmen Hallway at the school I am currently attending. For some reason, all of my dreams have taken place there ever since December, and I wanted to LD there to find out why I might have been dreaming about that place.

Every passing minute, I would get more excited as I thought I was coming closer to starting a dream. But, I never passed over into a dream world or anything like that. I lied down for a good 25 minutes and nothing happened. I finally gave up after 30 minutes because my back started to itch. Why might this be? Do some people have to stay still like that for even longer? What happened? I really want to try to lucid dream this way but I really have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Could a more advanced WILD'er help me out with this?

Thanks
