I've sort of tried this once. I saw my brother in a lucid dream and since he was the only person around, I asked if he would tell me whenever I'm dreaming so I could become lucid more often. He said he wasn't sure he could do that.
I haven't seen him in any dreams since.

I should try this again, though, with a different dream character.

That's hilarious! Have you err found a dream guide, it seems that they would be the only DCs that could think for themselves

I have met my dream guide a couple of times. And I would ask her, or this other dream character I've met, but they haven't been showing up for me lately.
