      1. Lucid means vivid and clear, I also think that it means aware. Thats exactly what lucid dreaming is "conscious dreaming".

      2. I have read many things on how people dream. I think that the frontal lobe of the brain is where it happens but I'm only about 50% on that one. Nobody knows why we dream but there are Many theories that are not proved by science.

      3. You can really start anywhere. Most people start by getting a dream journal and doing reality checks throughout the day.

      4. I began lucid dreaming to do fun stuff. Things like fighting and flying sounded awesome to me.

      5. Now I like to use it to explore the amazing dreams that my mind has the ability to create. Someday I would like to use it as a way to find out more about myself.

      6. Many people use it to stop nightmares, others use it to find out more about themselves, and the rest just want to have fun. Having fun definitely serves a purpose. After a fun lucid dream it's like a natural high that you can be on for the rest of the day.

      7. I honestly believe that DEILD is the way to go but many would disagree with me.

      8. They aren't rare at all if you work for them.

      9. I used to have about 5 lucid dreams a week. Now that I'm in a dry spell it's more like 2 a month.

      10. Yes unless you have a really really bad sleep disorder. But even people with things like insomnia can lucid dream.

      11. No not at all. The only way it can harm you is if you think it's a dream but it really isn't and you jump out of a window.

I was always a dreamer, in childhood especially. People thought I was a little strange.-Charley pride
