I was wondering if anyone here who has experienced multiple SP's if they could describe exactly what happens.

I tried to WILD this afternoon because I just got back from working out in the blazing hot sun, so I was pretty tired. Keep in mind I've never had a lucid dream yet- I just decided to try it because the conditions were well met to try it.

Anyways, I tried the counting breaths technique and I lost count like twice because my mind drifted away. While I was around the 300-400 range, I felt as if I was numb from my legs to my chest. I had a pillow on my chest and I was hugging it, but for some reason it felt like the pillow had disappeared and something heavier took its place. I started to think I was entering SP. I felt as if I was at a peak, I'm not entirely sure but it felt like I was flirting with the dream world and my reality. I started to hear footsteps outside my window that came closer to me and that freaked the hell out of me. It stopped, and it seemed like someone was staring at me. The footsteps then walked away. I didn't hear any door open at all, and the footsteps had shoes on- which I know nobody in my house has shoes on atm. I could still be wrong though lol, it may have been someone from my house. Upon hearing these footsteps, it shocked me so much that I think my mind focused back on my reality even though my body was still numb.. and I had to start over. Nothing after that so I eventually got up to do some homework.

Was this sleep paralysis? Or was it my mind just playing tricks on me? I'm still not quite sure what sleep paralysis is supposed to feel like, some people say its an unmistakable feeling.. so I was wondering what SP feels like to you guys.

How long does it last? What kind of things do you see/hear? How vivid are these SP hallucinations? And most importantly.. how do you stay calm if it's some freaky hallucination lol.
