Ya that happens alot to people, me included. I think your trying to wild. My advice it to not try to hard and relax. What I do is, I wake up at 4 and i stay up for 20 minutes, walking a bit, relaxing and thinking about lucid dreaming. After the 20 minutes I lay down in a comfortable posistion, it does not have to be on back. I then relax and focus on lucid dreaming and I try to tell myself that I will most likely succed and if I don't it will be even easyer the next night. I focus on this and relax until i either enter a dream or dont. Stressing to much on it and worrying about weather it will work or not and trying not to swallow spit will only delay you and wont help you relax. I dont think swallowing spit matters, all that matters is being relaxed and to the point of lucid dreaming.

I learned all this by practicing it alot until i realized what was working against me.

I like your little WILD routine a lot I think I may give it a shot tonight

I also have to swallow sometimes during a WILD attempt but I figured it wasn't too detrimental considering it does not keep me awake when normally going to sleep. I have 0 WILD experience though so I can't say...

Same hash, I havent really had any WILDs, just DILDs, but I love them, even if they are scary the quality of the dream is immense.

Yeah DILDs are great and the quality is amazing After having two in a row I thought I would rely solely on that method but I guess I have been less aware in my dreams since then. I figure I might as well learn WILD, I do WBTB anyway for recall. It would also be nice to master sleep paralysis, for lucid dreaming and astral projection... Good luck with your WILD attempts
