my dreams may last forever, but from the few lds i had, i know my lds last only a few seconds.

maybe its because i didnt know much about lds when I had them.

My non-lucid dreams last for a very long time, but my lucid dreams only last a few minutes.

Based on what I have read, R.E.M. phases get longer and longer with each sleep cycle during an episode of sleep. R.E.M. phases max at one hour. That means that a lucid dream can't last longer than an hour, but according to people on this site who have put some very wishful thinking into my head, percieved time in a dream can be as long as 100 years. Somebody last December talked here about how he lived a full life time, watching his dream children grow up day by day and everything, in one lucid dream. Hmmmmmm.....
How do you know you are not dreaming right now?
