      coffee

i know that caffeine in particular is supposed to inhibit rem sleep but whenever i drink coffe i find that i get closer to wilding then without. Also at night i have much more vivid dreams and remember allot more about them. I figure it might have to do something with the aroma or the more intense crash. what do you guys think?

Well there are so many things that can effect your dreams. I doubt the aroma or crash had anything to do with the vivid dreams. But the crash may have made you extra tired which could have helped with your WILD attempt.

I don't drink coffee, but in Scotland we have a soft drink called Irn Bru, which has caffeine in. Recently I cut down my consumption from 4-6 cans per day to a maximum of 2 cans per day, and I've found that I get better recall, and I've also had a few lucid dreams since cutting down, after a dry period of about half a year. It could very well be something else in the Irn Bru, but I'm inclined to believe it's the caffeine, because of its REM-inhibiting effects.

      ShockWave.

My most recent WILD was after having lots of caffeine. Probably a coincidence. I'd normally not have any success after having caffeine, it never helps my sleep.

When did you drink the caffeine? Was it in the morning, afternoon, or evening? I know people who drink green tea during their WBTB. It only has a small amount of caffeine compared to coffee.
