All right, I think it's pretty impressive that I'm able to recall 5 dreams a night within four days of starting a journal, and what I write down is even cooler. I'll have wacky adventures in the most obscure scenarios, but this is the problem: ALL of my dreams contain something so wacky & conspicuous that if you saw it in real life, you wouldn't do a double-take, you'd do a quintuple-take (and probably ask yourself if this is really happening).

Here's an example: The other night I had a dream where I was sledding down a snowy hill (at night), that subsequently ended right in the middle of a street intersection. To top it off, I saw two trains coming from both directions of the street. Am I sh*tting bricks? Nah, I acknowledge the tenacious locomotives, shrug, and carry on with my tobogganing.

What's irking me, is that I feel regardless of the spontaneous reality checks I do throughout the day, I just don't seem to care if something is out of place or wrong in my dreams. Will the occasional reality check help me realize that I'm dreaming regardless of the scenario? Even though I feel that it's not a case of reality checking that's the problem? It's simply that I choose not to care when noticing these Blatant absurdities while I'm dreaming. Can I assume this is normal for some people?
