Question about SP & HH Transition

OK so I'm lying in my bed, trying not to think about the world around me but I am always aware that I'm lying in my bed. I have not moved a muscle for like a whole hour before and not entered SP or had HH.

I have read lots of the guides and stuff but no-one says how you know when you start having these HH. What I mean is when does it go from me looking at the back of my eyelids to seeing/hearing/feeling stuff? And when do you open your eyes to look at them or your dream? Or do you go from looking at the back of your eyes to seeing things without being aware of opening them?

Please help a LD newbie I really want to have a LD and have had no luck so far. My dream recall is generally very good e.g. last night I wrote down 5 different dreams I had (or 5 different scenarios in a couple of dreams).

Hi Lucid, I can only tell you from what i experience, i go throught SP and i can sometimes only see black, sometimes i can then hear talking or shouting, sometimes i hear whispering other times i can sence someone with me, all this time i have my eyes closed, so i get the "swooshing" or "buzzing" noise and thats when my HH starts, it then for me stops and i open my eyes thinking i have failed, all is the same, i then go to turn on the light or something and i realise it wont turn on them i'm like "ohh this is a dream" , so that is how i get from SP into HH and then into a dream, but like i said i usually go into a faulse awakening lol...sometimes in SP i start spinning like crazy or it feels like i'm speeding really fast in a dark tunnell and my dream appears before me, you see i have not experienced things like hearing things in my room shake, etc but while i am a little un nervy about it all yet still do it as it just happens with me and always has done i keep my eyes closed thinking the less i can see the better lol i breathe slowly and stay very very calm and think of nice things that way you tend to transition alot easier, hope i have helped, please message me if you have any questions

ah that's really helpful thanks. I just thought everyone got really crazy stuff happening in SP. I got a wierd buzzing sensation in my body earlier but I never know if I'm in SP and going into a dream or not so I just lay there. I think I just need to do it once to get the hang of it. everytime I open my eyes to check I RC and have not been in a dream yet (or I fall asleep ) Thanks for the help anyway

your welcome Lucid, but just remember experiences differ from person to person, just remember stay calm, don't panick and remember its just a dream and nothing can hurt you, if you go through it with fear you will bring on fear, it may be hard at first but you will get there, i used to wake myself up when i got the buzz noises and each time i would go a little longer, this helped me to learn to calm myself when it happens, i did at one time suffer terrible, awfull things happened to me but that is because it is something i have always had, i had no idea what it was untill i looked it up i was having SP that also flung me into a WILD, this was without trying like i said, hence this was happening and i didnt know how to cope with it. Yeah sometimes you dont get to the dream point it may just fade away as it does with me sometimes, have confidence in yourself and if anything comes that does freak you out a little try not to think about it, dont recognise that its there keep your focus on LD'ing, if you have any bad ones let me know and i'll do all i can to help you so will the rest of the team ..good luck and happy dreaming
