Question Out of all hints tips and techniques

What have you found most usefull/benificial?

i would say remembering my day from end to beggining before i go to sleep as it seems to have a good impact in all other areas (ADA. recall in real life and dreams)

i know all is important but have got anything that stands out for YOU?

Lucid dreaming, for me, is all about my mind state. Being positive is so important.

Like zebrah said, being confident and positive is REALLY important.

Other then that i've found KingYoshi's WILD guide really useful and KingYoshi's ADA Tutorial.

If I was new to lucid dreaming I would find Puffin's Guide really useful.

I've found that my attitude and intent greatly affect my dreams. As said before, being confident is probably the greatest key, and it becomes easier to stay confident as you get results.

One thing that really sparked it for me was reading a thread and talking to a natural lucid dreamer and realising it isn't as hard as it seems. It's easy to get caught up in techniques and details, but when it comes down to it anyone can do it

ADA and meditation have greatly improved my awareness and recall, which I believe have really helped me, it's just a matter of finding what works for you

I have to agree with every body else. Your not going to lucid dream with a negative attitude and low self esteem about it.

The best advice I have ever gotten was that: Lucid dreaming is very easy, and EVERYBODY CAN do it. Also, I learned from a guy on this site - In your first 10 or so lucids, instead of just zipping off and doing some big task, just relax, chill, and really just get the feeling of being in a dream. When you study the feeling of being in a dream, and being awake, they are SO different. Over time your mind just gets used to the difference, and LDing becomes much easier.

Yes from what I recall, all of the above replies have hit it spot on. Lucidity is mainly achieved by ones mindset and focus the night before, i always hear that in order to successfully achieve lucidity one must clear all stresses from the mind and focus solely on the task of LD'ing. Evidently one must know how to be crazy relaxed :p
