      Just some quick advice please?

So I had my first lucid dream about two days ago. It only lasted about 10 seconds and then went blank.
So I was wondering what the next thing I should do is?
I've been combining mild and doing reality checks.
Although I haven't had a lucidd dream in two days. I want to try wild, but I think I should work on my dream control first. Thanks for your time

Hey, first of all welcome to the forums Well done on your first lucid.

I think you should continue doing MILD and RCing. Though remember that you also need to work on your recall with a dream journal, if you're not keeping one already I wouldn't worry about going two days without a lucid, it's fairly common to just get a couple a week.

Once you're confident enough, I say go ahead and try WILDing Some people have a real knack for it, so you may aswell try it out if you want. Remember to WBTB first though.

      Hope that helps

Congratulations on your first Lucid Dream!

Just keep practicing and maybe create Dream Goals and don't forget to keep a Dream Journal. You should also explore the forums, there is much information on this site that can be very helpful.

I know, right? One morning, I woke up before school and got about 5 hours of sleep and was missing the whole page while I wrote.

I love the feeling when you remember a few fragments, and it comes to you. (Normally when I shower in the morning)
Or when you're further into your day, and you hear a word that reminds you of a dream you had last night!
My dad was talking about our house wall, which had a slight crack.
The work "crack" Reminded me of the previous dream I had about being a drug user.
      Amazing stuff xD

Yeah, it usually happens during the conversation - someone mentions somethings or this things just set off the chain of associations and BAM! The whole dream comes to mind. However the realization can be very audible from my side, so people may percieve it...differently X)

Also, when the dream goes blank (I used to have this a lot) try to imagine one simple thing. Something not complicated in shape like glass, egg, pencil, anything simple, then take it if you can, if you can't just concentrate on it, it will bring the scene back, works every time for me

WELL, seeing as you said 'please'..
What you should do is to continue to have lucid dreams, obviously . About your 10 second lucid, the next time you get lucid, you should use some stabilization techniques and 'ground' your dream body into the dream so that it is not distracted by your waking body. You may have seen people post things like 'rub your hands while looking at them' this is because it uses two of your sense, touch and sight.
If you feel up to it, materialise something like a flower, sniff it's scent while feeling it in your hands (obviously, you'll be looking at it) that's 3/5 senses already. Take a bite into it, even~ 4/5 senses, awesome! Maybe materialize an ipod and chuck some music on. Viola~ that's all your senses taken care of.

Of course, not all senses are required to be stimulated just to stay in the dream XD
